Subject: CONFIRMED - Power Armour 30th Anniversary - new releases, events, and giveaways. WD pic page 1
In summary, rumourmongers are saying to expect a release centred around the RTB-01 marines, which the 25th anniversary marine (crimson fist swinging an ork head) was a part of (in art work at least, if not the original box set).
Oooh, an anonymous sources Larry Vela BOLS article.
It's total bs.
There's only maybe two active rumour mongers who have any real chops, so we'll see what Atia and Panda have to say.
That said, a Mk VI based release is something that makes sense, it even crossed my mind, but if it turns out to be that, it'll just be coincidence.

The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense!” Professor Brian Cox

I would be SO down for a Mark VI based release. Raven Guard have gotten zero love from GW proper beyond the Kau'yon supplement. They still don't even have a transfer sheet available from GW!

That'd be cool, one of the extras could be artificer armour (which I've often wondered if it'd be represented in plastic at some point). Maybe another consisting of bionic body parts than you can shake an iron hand at

Call the set 'The evolution of Power Armour' (Skipping Thunder Armour). No need to write up anything about it in WD or elsewhere other than the name and contents.

If they made a Mk VI Tactical Squad the way they made a Mk IV Tactical Squad, I would get at least one. Not my favorite armor, but making a squad of Crimson Fists in that would be cool.
They could literally do a CAD model overlay of the Mk VI stuff on the Mk IV sprue. Basically no work at all.

This is a one day event. You're not going to see a game released for one day.
There's another promo card floating around from GW, it's RT or 2E art of a squad of Beakies in Ultramarines colors.
I'm not so sure about that Kan, this guy said black out "dates", and went on to imply that there'd be a lot spread out over a couple of weeks or so. I'll double check if I speak to him again.
Ok, so I'm going a little crazy here, but what if we're all looking at this the wrong way.
Sure celebrating an anniversary is usually about reminiscing over the past, but it's also about celebrating the continued evolution of a lineage.
That's why I'm calling it now, the exclusive miniature will be a prototype Mark IX armored marine. It only makes sense.
For real though, if its anything more significant than another alternate captain model I will shed tears of joy. I mean how many slightly different looking captains do we really need?

But the real question is what MKIX will look like?
A variation on another set? (like MKVIII)
Cobbled together armour? (Lile MKV)
A completely new look?
As long as it has a MKIV helmet, Ill be happy
