Will the Angels of Death supplement be usable by Dark Angels, Blood Angels and Space Wolves?

No. It is a supplement for Codex Space Marines, not all Space Marine codices.

the psychic disciplines are usable by all loyalist space marine factions. So it has some stuff for the non-C:SM factions.

Ohkk, I just won't be able to use the formations?

Although, if I'm using formations for my dark angels army, I can just say that the Skyhammer Annihilation force that I'm using is just an allied space marines detachment of some Dark Angels successor chapter, and paint those models up that way so it still looks good with my army..

The only thing you'll be able to use in the supplement for a Dark Angels detachment is the psychic powers.

Those cheeky buggers left two pages off the table of contents, which happen to be the two pages with the new formations.

Well played, GW.

Which two pages in specific are you referring to?

There's a lot of pages not listed--doesn't mean they left them off the table of contents. Formations look to be pages 58 to 69.

There's two formations missing out of the 14. There's also a 2 page gap between the first detachment and the last formation, no? (Pages 70 and 71)

Edit. I'm dumb. New products on the website. Not sure how I missed the released product lists earlier in the week!

This week's white dwarf seems to show the rumoured HQ tanks. No direct mention of them at all, just a picture.

Haven't read every post here so may have missed someone else saying it first.

Afaik they were always targeted for generally release after an amount of time. They are also part of some decurions in AoD.

cant wait for those HQ tank general release if it happens. I've had 2 fail orders from england trying to get them and I wont try a third.

The hq tanks could be coming next week. There has not been so much as a hint about what is coming, maybe it is them.

So what of all the folks with cool forgeworld contemptors? Will they still be able to use the IA:2 rules?

Did Rogue Trader come out in 1986?

According to Wikipedia (I know, I know!):

The existence of a science fiction table top game in development by Games Workshop was made known through Citadel Journal in 1986 and Rogue Trader was officially released at Games Workshop's annual Games Day event in October 1987.

So...what are you hinting at here?

That...something for Space Marines will be previewed starting on...Wednesday?

The space marines predated Rogue Trader oddly enough, they weren't expected to catch on, but the initial small run of Sf fantasy miniatures were popular so GW tried their luck with a plastic boxset and released Rogue Trader. Rogue Trader was intended as a skirmish ruleset to accompany an RPG, but it grew and grew and grew.

If the command tanks do come out, I will probably pick them up. I love the blinged out chassis of both of them. I can't say I will ever run them though. Perhaps with my Blood Angels.

well, I hate to break it to you, but...

The way it is worded is very vague. It says you can use them in any Space Marine army, but goes on to say they can be used in place of regular Terminators or Dreadnoughts in a C:SM army.

A 'Space Marine army' would be an army chosen from Codex Space Marines, a 'Blood Angels army' would be an army chosen from Codex Blood Angels and so on and so forth.

The only thing we know that's in the supplement that can be used outside of Codex Space Marines is the new psychic powers. Right now with the information we have it looks doubtful anything else could be used with a different codex.

That is how I am treating it anyway. Which is fine by me. I am looking at running a Kheres Assault Cannon Contemptor (too bad it can't be a Mortis) in a Centurion Siegebreaker Cohort for a Core choice. I like that Contemptors can be used in place of Ironclad or Venerable Dreadnoughts in any formation. Hopefully they will do something similar for other new kits.

Perhaps by the time BA get an update, they will have released a second frame for the Contemptor that allows for a Furioso Contemptor or a Mortis Contemptor (basically, it would be the exact same kit only mirror-imaged).

That works. I imagine these are formationless auxiliaries. Were there any of the other in column 1 or 2 that were incorrect?

Actually now that I look, no Shadowstrike kill team or Ravenhawk Assault Group. It's 10th Company task force and skyhammer orbital strike force.

So no way to run Crusader Squads in some of these formations for Templar players?
