I ordered the Imperial Knight game, and they gave me the anniversary Space Marine for free, for some reason!

Can't find anywhere that actually tells you about this, so it was a nice surprise!

I think it is listed in the preorders page

Whenever they posted up the model, it made a note that anyone who ordered over $160 or so from the webstore got a free anniversary Space Marine.

It's live and I got one.

Canada is up. Got mine.

Resale will probably be at least retail on them.

I had a hard time with $30 single model, and it was $10 shipping on top of it. Figured sale or trade would be easy if I needed to do so.

Would you say it is a better deal if you got it for free, seeing how there is the 160$ limit and you get a free one or whatever? So basically buy/pre-order Renegade and it comes with.

I don't think I can justify dropping 30$ on just a Marine but, I think if it is done that way it is a much better deal?

I suspect a full price (miniature price+sales taxes+shipping) doubled at least in the next month.

I would agree to that of you are normally paying retail costs, especially since the Renegade deal is so good. But since it isn't a web exclusive bundle, I could pick it up much cheaper, and at a later date.

Less than an hour the book Index Astartes: Apocrypha by itself and the bundle are sold out in Canada. Crazy!

got the apocrypha bundle as soon as it went up. and grabbed a second imperial marine for my buddy who was at a wedding.

The book must have gone quicker than that in the UK (like within 30 minutes) - and I really wanted one! I just had a quick look on ebay and the top listing is already £100 for something that cost £20 a few hours ago.

They also said that there were limited numbers and that once it was gone it was gone. Sorry you missed out dude, but it's not their fault.

I though the anniversary marine would only be available online and in 'proper' GW stores?

I popped into my FLGS today though and they had like 10 of them out, and that was pretty late in the day.

If I was so inclined, I guess I could have bought a bunch and tried to scalp them on Ebay, but screw that BS :\

Considering how much 'once they're gone they're gone' meant when it came to the fantasy stuff in the lat chance to buy section, maybe they'll cast some more next week to help the people that didn't have time to get theirs

Lol who knows, I'm guessing they underestimated how many would take advantage of the knight preorder and thus got a marine for free.

I wonder if they are still tossing it in with orders over the 165$ mark. I just got renegade, so I might as well call customer support and see.

I picked up mine from a GW store this morning with the Apocrypha book on the way to Salute. They threw in an original RT front cover badge and print too.

It was a choice between that Wayne England green/White one and the Ultramarine "Ultra" peice that's on the front of the Apocrypha book. I went for the latter as it's a personal fave.

Funnily someone had entered the original Marneus Calgar on throne miniature in the Salute paint comp. It looked boss, I hope it did well.

Tbh I was kind of surprised that the model was still available the the Australian Web Store this morning.

It's a shame that for some stupid reason GW made the 'get one free deal' only for orders of $270+, because otherwise I would have bought a copy of the Knight game, too.

My GW sold out of the Imperial Space Marine right away and only received *THREE* copies of Angels of Death. So I guess I am going to be going somewhere else to get one and not getting the Space Marine. $30 saved for me. Just don't know what I want to get instead. I have $150 of hobby money to spend. I kinda want to get a Hunter/Stalker kit, a Vindicator, or something else. Any thoughts on what to get for Crimson Fists? I kinda want to get a Cataphractii Terminator Captain and a Cataphractii kit on eBay.

I'm guessing you're already stocked with sternguard and kantor? Kind of depends on what you have and things you haven't tried out yet.

Weird. My GW had what looked like around 80 to 100, of course, they are the only GW in BC.

And they were going pretttty quick. Had to text my friends to stop being lazy gals, get out of bed, and go get one. :p
