My local group is starting up a campaign. I will feed back my thoughts on it.

I am currently putting together a six man kill team. Kill Team Cassius, now that I think about it, is actually viable with a little homebrewing (Add Blood Ravens traits).
General outline of the killteam is

Watch Champion Fabian: Powerfist and combi grav. Ultramarine.
Apothecary Zunnox: Bolt pistol, chainsword and narthecium, Iron Hand.
Lexicanum Moralessio: Force Stave, Terminator, Storm Bolter. Blood Angel.
Battle bro Solock: Combi plasma, Dark Angel
Battle bro Ytrius: Combi flamer, Salamander
Battle bro Suramus: Combi melta, Black Templar.

40K - 2000pts
HH - 3000pts

- 40 Wounds

Why don't you just play FFG's Deathwatch RPG? I don't get it. Unless your specifically looking to play with models or something.

Because A) feth buying more books
B) Nobody plays it around here
C) It's a fluff marine VS xenos killteam game.

That and any marine player can play it and still understand the rules without going through pages of new books.

The ongoing campaign they are putting up on YouTube is pretty entertaining. I've been watching it this morning. Those guys have the best job in the world.

Because while the same universe the 40k version is fundamentally different than playing an RPG.

32,000 points (Blood Ravens) 2500 (and growing) 1850

PPl who optimise their list as if they're heading to a tournament when in reality you're just gonna play a game for fun at your FLGS are bascially the Kanye West equivalent or 40K.

I can't wait to hear them!

Just remember the rules that we put together are quite loose, and should really be adapted to your gaming group's style.

I've already got ideas for how I'm going to change them (revamping the death and injury tables, making upgrading better) for our future campaigns too.

It is!

I'm on here occasionally, mainly just as a lurker.

Hopefully we'll all get more active. I've always been meaning too!

Idea: Biker deathwatch marines?

The Deathwatch Overkill characters are almost perfect for this thing but how they would transfer into this ruleset I do not know.

Not to sidetrack the thread here, but I love the channel! I really enjoy your narrative content. Joined the vault a couple weeks ago just to watch the Deathwatch Campaign. Keep up the good work, man.
