Daemonkin have some of the best codex traits of any army IMO. Definitely roll on their table.

And same here, I was going to do 3 maulerfiends instead of the Grinder at first. But I like the large blast AP 3 for the Tau I will be up against...

Ok so I placed 5th out of 11 in the tourny....

I played CSM round one... he had a double Mauler list and termies... pretty easy round since he went first, and ran the maulers right two me. I was able to take out both Maulers turn 1....

Next I played a very new Tau player.... so I am just going to say I won that match. He was new and made new player mistakes

Round 3 I played a Battle Company with 18 Twinlinked Las Cannons in a Malestorm mission (the only one we play or course I get a battle company).... I conceded turn 4 because he had the edge on victory points and I couldn't catch up....

Round 4 I played Tau again... This was a very experienced player. He had WAY too much firepower for me to assault him.

Overall it was a fun list... the Bloodthirster Axe only made a difference in the Battle Company list. The fact that he comes in Swooping and I have to wait a turn to charge (due to flight mode change) really makes it worthless because he gets shot down pretty quick and the D3 wounds at the end of my turns leaves him with only 1-2 wounds when I can charge.

Was it not an ITC event? If I remember correctly, in ITC rules you pick which mode they come in as. However, they technically are deepstriking when they come in, so it wouldn't matter.
