I spy a Siegmeyer and Solaire in the armor set expansion!

Also 12-15cm for the Gaping Dragon. HOLY gak. For comparison I just measured my Cygnar Colossal and it clocks in at 13cm to the very top, and the Gaping Dragon is wider than it is tall...

No Solaire, that's Tarkus. Hope there will be another Armour Expansion with Solaire, though.

Top-middle? I thought it looked like Solaire.

Nope, definitely Tarkus:

Thought so too at first, but it's Tarkus. Similiar silhouettes, but different. Look at the pauldrons, gloves and the missing feather on the helmet.

Oh ok, thanks!

Hope our sunbro shows up somewhere down the line...

I would be shocked if Solaire doesn't show up. He's super memetastic.

I want Solaire and Kirk.

Edit: I'm not the guy who keeps copy pasting how much he wants Kirk in the comments.

I wonder what this armor set is, exactly? I mean, yes, it's NPCs from the series... But for what purpose? Just alternate player models for pure aesthetics? I guess we'll see.

Unless I'm a dumb and missed something (quite possible)!

Kingdom Death Fanatic. Dark Eldar: Kabal of the Fragile Breath. Dark Elves: Allegiance to the Black Crown. Also, Masons, Cygnar, and Legion of Everblight. All unnamed.

Holy gak that is an awesome username. Please tell me your army is called Kabal of the Fragile Breath. Morathi's Darkest Sin has some competition here for best handle, I think.

There is loot in the game so no reason you couldn't get new armor.

Yup, I assume you can pick up armor sets and replace your mini with an appropriate alternative from the expansion.

And armor sets aren't locked to specific builds either so it doesn't matter which mini you started out with.

It might once the unsustainable growth stops as saturation occurs, and it becomes a 1-2 day wait for a 5-card expansion for an existing boss!

Still, looking very nice so far! Although Rocket Games hasn't produced any actual boardgames to date (my understanding is that Guild Ball is rather more boutique and locally produced), so hope the challenges on that front don't produce any issues. Certainly the amount of money ought to offer a substantial buffer against production problems!

Do people feel that combat against mook-type enemies will be of much interest? One thing I think KD: M got right was essentially skipping right to the bosses, and keeping progression to them as a list of events.

I guess it might be interesting to fight 3 of the trashmobs at the same time. Lots of variation in their movement and attacktypes.

If the boardgame is anything like the "real" game, even the mooks will be challenging. You die far more times to mooks than to bosses

Just look at the card for the Sentinels from Anor Londo. 20hp, 4 dmg attacks.

It's a Steamforged Games game, which will be produced by Ludo Fact. Don't think they will run into big problems.

Sorry, not sure why I thought Rocket Games - Steamforged indeed. And Ludo Fact seems quite a comprehensive business, in that you can give them money and assets and get something quite reliably produced, so good news there!

I have to say...now that they have final image approval from Bandai Namco, they've been releasing updates MUCH more rapidly and consistently. Woke up today to 3 project updates on my phone, and an extra one rolled in shortly after. It would still be nice to see some actual sculpt renders instead of just game art assets, but it's helping to convince me that this project wasn't so poorly managed as day one might have suggested.

I'm going to enjoy the kind of silly stuff that'll happen when the Crystal Lizards get into the game.

Move into a room with two Silver Knight Lancers, an Archer, and a Crystal Lizard? Every run and swing at the lizard, hurry, hurry!

So what have they shown production models of? Or is everyone pledging based solely on cool sketches of PVC minis ala Relic Knights?

Black Bases and Grey Plastic Forever:My quaint little hobby blog.

40k- The Kumunga Swarm (more)
Count Mortimer’s Private Security Force/Excavation Team (building)
Kabal of the Grieving Widow (less)

Plus other games- miniature and cardboard both.

There's prototypes of the Dancer, Knight and Herald. I love them and they seem on par with other high-quality board games like Zombicide or Blood Rage.

Otherwise it's just renders and artwork, but judging by Steamforged's previous work and the fact they are in partnership with Ludo Fact means I have no doubt the finished article will be excellent.

That seems fairly optimistic. It's not 2013 anymore- people expect at least masters of all the miniatures available on a Kickstarter. We already have elements of the mistakes of past kickstarters echoing all around this project. As I said artwork but no miniatures(Relic Knights), approval from X before releasing anything(Such as Fox and the AVP Kickstarter), and then they were obviously ill-prepared for the amount of interest(Bones 1, where stretch goals became filled with place holder artwork- I believe several other kickstarters have had this problem as well).

These are rookie mistakes that shouldn't be happening in 2016. Have they just willingly ignored every other project before their's? That's some worrying stuff that makes a body wait for retail and reviews.

I hear what your saying but almost 11,000 backers and almost 1 Million Pound's Sterling disagrees with you.
