All the talk seems to be about Geokinesis, Shifting Worldscape, and how gamebreaking it is. What about the other powers and disciplines? Are there clever tactical opportunities emerging from those? Any unit buffs or shooting powers that dislodge an old favorite from the top spot? I've squinted at the early release photos, but I haven't read closely yet.

Dark Wolf Star will want Veil of Time, perhaps Null Zone if they hit Invisibility early. Reroll saving throws and/or reducing your opponents Invulnerable save by 2 are both great for it.

Centurion Star might be interested in Fulminations #5 power, so, hopefully you brought your die loaded for 5s (Invis, Fulminations move, Geokinesis Phase Shift...) Are all quite powerful. Geokinesis is nice if you are willing to gamble and have another easy source for rerolling to hit, but if you do not, I can't see giving up Divination and Prescience, since that also has a source of ignores cover and an invulnerable save. Especially if you run a White Scars Centurion Star.

Of course, Smashfether will love the healing Power. The swapping power will be nice for baiting opponents, but nothing here tops Invisibility in the priority list, unless you tend to face armies with little to no high AP weapons.

Only reason you need fulmination with cent star is if you don't have Draigo. The phase form is going to be the really clutch power (and invis and veil of time obviously). You can't run, and now you can't hide *evil laugh*

My Centurions slingshot out of a bunker, because playing Draigo Wing felt a little too cheesy for me. Maybe if I was taking it to a bigger tournament...

Also, bunker keeps me safe from turn 1 skyhammers.

Not that safe since if they surround the building with ASM and land a drop pod on your escape hatch, well, you're all dead, no saves, and it's not that hard to drop a building between 4x multimeltas, 2x melta bombs and up to 4x evicerators (and the latter 2 all automatically hit).

I think the phase form (the one allowed Ignore cover and shoot through LoS blocking terrains / buildings) finally give Marines the shooty tool to counter flicker jump Warp Spiders and the toe in cover WraithKinght.

I would rephrase that and say the following instead, "Phase Form finally allows Marines the shooty tool they need to ignore any need for tactics, fire lanes, maneuvering etc...". All for a single WC. LOL. I'm just trying to highlight the fact that this power has far greater reach than just against Warp Spiders or and MC with a toe in some ruins.

Being able to Move Through Cover, and Ignore Terrain Cover Saves was more than enough to make this a useful power, especially for units who are trying to add some extra punch getting into assault. The addition of Ignoring LoS was unnecessary in my opinion. I mean Move Through Cover and Ignore LoS; why would you move if you can just shoot through anything that blocks LoS? The power itself seems contradictory. And just in case anyone is unfamiliar with the wording, the LoS ignore effect only applies in the Shooting Phase; so you still couldn't assault after shooting as you will no longer have LoS.

I will readily admit that there are actually a lot of cool and interesting powers with this recent release. On the Geokinesis table everything but this power and gaking Worldscape seem pretty good to me.

Opps, hit submit instead of preview...

Earthblood has obvious uses, healing up a beatstick would be very helpful. However, the other powers such as Land Quake, has some very real potential when it comes to controlling specific aspects of the game with respect to board control. I mean that in a literal sense, being able to make difficult terrain in various parts of the battlefield could provide new ways to protect your flanks, or slow an enemy advance.

I've never seen anyone take anything other than a Grav cannon drop in their Skyhammers, and it's not like I announce my list before pick up games and Gravs are the best all rounders for tournaments.
