Looking sharp mate!

So it's time to reveal some much needed armoured support for my Carcharodons. I'm not 100% on the pose, he's dynamic but a bit less intimidating than I'd like! Let me know what you think!

I'm not too sure about his one foot being off the ground, maybe you could put a trampled enemy under there to fill the gap, other than that pose looks cool.

So here he is in all his glory! An ancient warrior forever entombed in a living engine of carnage...sounds like every Space Shark's dream really! I'll leave a few shots here and feel free to let me know what you think.
I've decided to enter my first ever armies on parade competition at my FLGS so stay tuned for updates on that! It will of course feature my space sharks and all going to plan a lot of dead Mantis warriors

Just a quick update! As well as undercoating my Space Marine Captain, I've also begun building a squad of five Scouts. For those of you unfamiliar with the chapters background the Sharks use scouts heavily in battle and so its only fitting that I have a few squads in my force! But heres where I need your opinion... Do I paint them in the standard grey chapter colour scheme or do I paint them in camo? they do operate behind enemy lines after all! I've done a bit of digging and uncovered an old illustration of a Space Shark in an alternate camo pattern which was used during the Badab War. What do you guys think?

So here's my take on space marine camo! It was nice to get a break from painting grey and I got a chance to practice painting faces! All C&C is welcome as usual so let me know what you think.

My display board is coming along a lot quicker than expected...clearly I have too much free time this weekend! It's ready to be primed now and I'm happy enough considering it's my first time building one! Check it out and let me know what you think, feel free to ask any questions about how I built it!

I'll start off on a bit of a tangent, last night I played my first game of 40K in years and I must say its great to get back into the gaming side of things! Sadly my heroic Raven Guard eventually fell to the green tide that fell upon them, a great experience and hopefully soon my Space Sharks can take to the battlefield! Anyway back on track, I have made progress with my display board which is now 50% painted.

Heres a few points on the actual construction:

- The base is actually the back board of a cheap frame so once the project is complete it should clip in to the frame giving it a nice border.
- The whole thing was carved from layers of Styrofoam which I glued to the base using Super PVA.
- I then coated the whole thing with quick dry wall filler and used some tools to model in some texture and craters.
- The sand bags I made myself out of modeling clay and I used lollipop sticks to make the decking in the trench

A fairly quick and simple project but I think its turning out well!

Nice blog! Just whizzed through - space sharks have a neat aesthetic and you're capturing it very well through your posing. Love the stompy dread

AoP board is looking cool so far. Excellent work on those Scouts they look superb.

Thanks for the comments guys! I've gotten a lot of painting done and the board is now nearly complete! I'm considering putting some dead mantis warriors in the trenches, what do people think?

As of late I have strayed from my Space Shark's project and have been expanding my Raven Guard force. I'm building a talon strike force to take advantage of the sneaky rules available to the 19th Legion! Anyway hers a few tactical marines and some devastators that are 90% finished. Let me know what you think!

Just a quick WIP shot of a sternguard squad I threw together this evening! I see them tracking down and killing high value targets and so I added a few gizmos and gadgets to help them fulfill this role. I also used all the Corvus helms I could get my hands on. Let me know what you think!

With Armies on Parade looking I'm back putting the finishing touches on my Space Sharks! I'm nearly finished the final miniature, my Space Marine Captain. Anybody have any ideas for a suitable badass name for him?

I've been doing quite a bit of work on my Armies on Parade entry today, I've finished my Captaiin (no pics of him just yet) and I've painted some Mantis Warrior casualties to lay in the trenches of my display board. They still have to have blood added to them but heres a few pics of my work so far. Feel free to let me know what you think as its my first time painting Mantis Warriors.

Hi all! As most of you will already know Armies on Parade was on today and so I entered at my FLGS. I'm proud to say I came first against some pretty tough competition! Bellow are some photos of my entry which are also basically full army shots of my Space Shark's collection Enjoy!
