Hi, I noticed something weird in the Orks:Codex(2014) as a Combined Arms Detachment selection on Battlescribe; there is a "Waaagh! Ghazghkull Options" under the "No Category" tab.

As far as I can tell all this does is enable Waaagh! Ghazghkull Supplement relics for a normal CAD but I cannot find anywhere in the Supplement that says this is allowed.

I know that the supplement says only units from a formation or detachment in the Waaagh! Ghazghkull book may take Orkimedes' Custom Gubbinz but if there is a loophole I am all for it.

If anyone can provide insight on this it would be greatly appreciated. I have also posted a similar post on the Battlescribe feedback thread in case it was overlooked in the repository files.

The new (Just as crappy) version of the Waaagh supplement says you can take relics in regular armies now. IE you can field the MFF on your CAD Stompa now.

Can you quote a page number or something please? I can't see it (1AM here -_-)

Edit: Hope my tone doesn't come off as rude or anything, I've been scouring the internet for a definitive answer to this so I can build a tournament list and this is the closest I've gotten.

You have to ask your TO if you are allowed to take a CAD using the W!G supplement. More specifically, you have to make the arguement that anything at all -in- your supplement, gives you permisssion to take a W!G CAD using army list information from the Ork Codex.

I would argue that it is in there, most on YMDC would tell you not.
It's a rule interpretation that you need a TO to back you up on.

In that thread I make an arguement that the softback W!G supplement offers the CAD to you in that supplement on the page after Orkimedies custom gubbinz, by referencing the CAD in the rulebook as an example of how to build your army, therefore offering you permission to purchase a W!G CAD with troop tax and IC with your relic of choice.

It is not a popular opinion, and is confused by page references that are different between two versions of the supplement.

Really though its sad that in this age of gaming that imperials and others dig through all kinds of books pulling allied detachments to stuff special ICs, rules, gear, and units in a list but orkz can't do it with their supplement because they didnt take the time/resources to print the CAD in there.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

I wouldn't mind bringing the formations in the supplement if they didn't cost upwards of 1k points to make usable.

I read your thread prior to starting this one in case there was an official rolling... oh well.

Thanks for the info.
