After a dozen games against as many opponents, my enthusiasm waned, every game just seemed to end up in a big fight centre table. Haven't played it at all since last August, and lost the motivation to finish the army.
You guys didn't play scenarios?
During the time he used to play there was only the AoS base rulebook (the first one) which, to be honest, isn't the best book to spend your 45 quid on... Maybe the stormcast battletome was already out at this time, but I'm not sure. In mid July last year the variety of scenarios (as well as the scenario mentality) simply didn't exist yet.
Corecommander is right, battletomes hadn't been released yet, so the closest thing to a scenario were the various victory conditions for having a smaller army.
I'll be playing again soon for a friend's birthday. Might be an opportunity to see if scenarios make any difference.

They are essential to the game imo, I wouldn't play a non-scenario game in AoS.

Yeah I'm the same way. Scenario-less AOS is to me fairly horrible and does lead to the "scrum in the middle of the table".
The scenarios make it 10x more fun.

Just like Infinity. But at least they had the decency to put a nice amount of scenarios and missions in the basic rulebook.

To be fair, he/she might like being part of the community that the previous game fostered? Just because you hate the game doesn't mean you stop interacting with other people. While this is not Fantasy anymore, it's still the closet thing to what it is and since I am sure he/she still loves the minis, he can discuss about them, even if the names have changed.
So while still taking part of the forum he/she has a perfect right to state their opinion. I don't think 40K is a good game. I think it's a crappy game. I say my opinion on it, and still like interacting with other people about 40K still. So saying he/she shouldn't be here is just wrong. You DON'T KNOW WHY people stay or not. To accuse them of being a troll, that is just low.

But there IS a forum section for the old Warhammer Fantasy Battles for the people that like to be part of that community. So your idea on that doesn't really apply here.
Now I do agree that calling all 70 people trolls is unfair, as being a troll takes more than simply voting on a poll. But there certainly are still a vocal portion of what I would label as trolls in the AoS section, even after the WHFB got its own section.

Mind you I didn't see the full quote he is quoting, but all I see that was quoted was that he doesn't play no more. How is saying he doesn't play 40K trolling?
Who are we to say "You don't like AoS you are not welcome here." Why have polls where people can't say they don't play AoS because they don't like it?
Isn't it STUPID to have a poll if people can't vote against it? Isn't it STUPID to have a poll where it's only one sided so you can toot your horn to say AoS is so good? This poll is tainted now because of how STUPID it is because someone had to say you don't belong if you don't like or play AoS.
So why bother having polls then if they can't be true.
What is next? We shouldn't be allowed in arenas and sports venues because most of us are geeks and nerds and we can't play sports so we should stay home and drink milk because we are not physical enough to partake?
What I said was STUPID. Just as stupid as quoting something where it's not trollish and them calling them a troll?

I think you missed his point and your sports allegory needs work.
If you hate basketball but love football, do you think it would be a good idea to go to forums for basketball fans to continuesly tell them how terrible basketball is compared to football and how much you hate the sport they love?
That's the point, in a sports allegory for you.

Except when that title says "How many of you play and enjoy AoS?". Mountains from mole hills, I go through pretty much every subforum on Dakka and flick through the titles even for games I don't play. Even though this poll has 72 people who say they don't play and enjoy AoS, there's no fething way there's 72 people who hate AoS going through each individual AoS thread looking for a way to troll them. It's just 72 people who hate AoS and saw "oh, there's a poll, I'll vote in that". This thread had 305 respondents. I doubt there's even 305 people who post regularly in the AoS forum full stop. If you went through the last month of posts and saw how many unique posters there were in the AoS forum, how many do you think there'd be, maybe 100? less? That would be my guess.

That is correct you have done a better job. Thing is, the part that was quoted had NO HATE in it, nothing saying how bad AoS is. In the quote I didn't see no negativity, so how do I know this person is constantly talking trash about AoS? Who ever made the quote and basically said "BUG OFF" didn't quote any hate on AoS or negativity, only quoted about "not playing". I am going buy what this person quoted and to me, the person who did the quote looks foolish not the there person who supposedly trashes AoS. Why does a person have to "bug off" because he doesn't play? At least if you are going to quote, then quote the hatred or negativity that this person says then. Then you can say "bug off".
Then again, it also speaks of the persons character as well who has to say "bug off" as well.

This is simply the best explanation.
I don't go to knitting forums and tell them to come play warhammer knitting sucks and I don't ever want anything to do with it. The sections here are for FANS and PLAYERS of age of sigmar. There should be a rage of sigmar forum for those who cant just go onto other places to bitch about it. Trust me I have complained a TON about AOS but I just ignored AOS almost entirely until I let go my bias and played a game. Now I quite enjoy the game and what possibilities it has. Its trolling simply because if you bring nothing positive to the discussion other then the game is bad and I want nothing to do with it then you are a troll IMO
