Toy railroad bridges from a Daiso, a 100 Yen shop in Japan.
PBS plastic so use superglue.
I'm using them upside down so I trimmed the corners (the bottom is supposed to be train tracks that I don't have). This got me some nice industrial rubble though.
The grating is a bit large but a 25mm base won't fall through.
6" long
I only found them in one shop, and bought out the stash, but hey, cheap, cheerful and useful.

There HAS to be a link somewhere to a shop that sells those...
Went to my local Ollie’s. No new ships… though they do have the Firedpray back in stock. Oddly the smaller young Jedi academy ships went up from $5.99 to $9.99 but the large ship is still $9.99.
I did find a pack of Golem Arcana. $3.29. But it was the only one. :( but still not bad at just over $1 a figure.

Those are great little clones of Plarail bridges. Super useful!
We finally got some Daiso shops around here, but we didn't have anything like that.

Great deal!
I've got to get to Ollie's again, but all the locations are way out in the suburbs.
Went to a different Ollie’s today. Got another Ashoka fighter and young Jedi ship… and combined them. Really rough as all I had access to was sprue cutters. but here is my rushed comb job.
At 18" long (!!) it's wildly out of scale for 28mm but might be a good basis for a Ork battlewagon or Necromunda vehicle, or maybe a sweet ride for your McFarlane 40k figures.

Neat. If I didn't already have so many other options already, the tumbler would be a great start for toy-bashing up a massive spacecraft.
I saw a listing for an Imaginex ship... Unfortunately, it's local pick up only and in New Jersey... But do any of you recognize the ship? My google-fu is failing me. But The ship looks like something I need..
That's a good one. I think it's expensive because it's OOP. I'm pretty sure it was quite cheap for a while at the beginning of last year. The trick for so many of these if to find them on overstock/clearance but before scarcity.
Facebook Marketplace is my go to for oop stuff... and I found one of those Flying Fox batman ships for $15... but... in New York... :( Guess the search continues.

Ok, got my Superman ship. The blue canopy will be painted grey, to match the hull. I got a Razorcrest canopy off of eBay that will be the new cockpit. And the rest are dollar store gi Joe bits
There's a nearby shop that buys pallets of Amazon returns and sells them over the course of the week via a scheme that starts at 8 bucks and the price decreases daily down to 1.
On two dollar day I found a package containing just the containers, crane and a few accessories from this set.
https://a.co/d/4sEGlyH
The grey parts at a bit softer, but everything else is HIPS. The clear side doors are difficult to open but I'll be gluing them shut and painting them as walls anyway.
I'm not sure if the set is worth $30, and there is also a version with a much better crane for $40, but it's probably worth keeping an eye on if it goes on deep discount.
The MDF container used for comparison is from TT Combat.
I'm going to try and have these ready for TMX

Smokestack wrote: Those look great. Does the shop have an on-line presence? And if so can you share the link?
No, sorry. It's just one of several such shops that have popped up around here. I doubt they have any online presence, they just pour out piles of returned items on tables for folks to dig through over a week of steadily decreasing prices.
You might be able to Google maps to see if there's one near you. They usually have " Discount" in the name and pics will show their daily price schedule.
I occasionally find wargaming items. A couple weeks ago I scooped up 2 packs of Monster Fight Club Crystals on 6 dollar day. And this 3d printed structure cost 2 bucks a couple months back. The print lines were pretty deep. Took a few coats of thick spray paint to get it paintable. Worth it though I think.

Just a world of temptation!
It really is. I find really great stuff there, and now my goal is to cover the price of each visit by selling stuff I purchased there. I've got some 3d printed articulated dragons and dinos up for sale on offer-up in an attempt to cover last weeks trip!
the town my grandfather lives near has a place like that, but it never has anything that good. unless you show up on the day they get their shipments in (which of course, always have the highest prices)
We have a store here that is similar, but slightly more expensive.. $14 the first day of stock, dropping to 12, 10, 8, 5 , 2 and 0.25 cents the last day
Wife refers to it as the "treasure store".. she has found several 3d printed terrain items for me there.. plus lots of stuff for our kids in their new homes..

Dang, 25 cents is quite a deal! Out of curiosity, what day does she usually go?
I've been going on the penultimate $2 day and sometimes on the final (one dollar) day. On the last day, you've really got to get there right as it opens.

Wife goes on whatever day she has off.. She says that the $14 day has a line waiting for them to open, as does the last day.. but in the "middle" she can just walk in and browse the tables/bins..
