Hi all! A pretty self explanatory list I've thrown together that I think could be pretty good fun:

Spoiler:
+++ Death Guard - Terminator Assault (2992pts) +++

++ Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List (Age of Darkness) (2992pts) ++

+ HQ (877pts) +

Deathshroud Terminator Squad (410pts) [10x Deathshroud Terminators]

Legion Praetor (467pts) [Cataphractii Terminator Armour with Combi-bolter and Power Weapon, Combi-Weapon, Digital Lasers, Grenade Harness, Mastercraft a Single Weapon, Paragon Blade]
··Legion Terminator Command Squad [Cataphractii Terminator Armour with Combi-bolter and Power Weapon, Chainfist, Grenade Harness, Heavy Flamer, 4x Legion Space Marine Chosen, 4x Power Fist]
··Master of the Legion [Pride of the Legion]

+ Troops (1305pts) +

Legion Terminator Squad (410pts) [Cataphractii Terminator Armour with Combi-bolter and Power Weapon, 2x Chainfist, Chem-munitions, 2x Heavy Flamer, 9x Legion Terminators, 7x Power Fist]
··Legion Terminator Sergeant [Grenade Harness]

Legion Terminator Squad (410pts) [Cataphractii Terminator Armour with Combi-bolter and Power Weapon, 2x Chainfist, Chem-munitions, 2x Heavy Flamer, 9x Legion Terminators, 7x Power Fist]
··Legion Terminator Sergeant [Grenade Harness]

Legion Terminator Squad (485pts) [2x Heavy Flamer, 9x Legion Terminators, 2x Lightning Claw, 7x Pair of Lightning Claws, Tartaros Terminator Armour with Combi-bolter and Power Weapon]
··Legion Terminator Sergeant [Grenade Harness, Pair of Lightning Claws]

+ Heavy Support (810pts) +

Grave Warden Terminator Squad (405pts) [2x Chainfist, 9x Grave Warden Terminator, 2x Heavy Flamer with Chem-munitions]

Grave Warden Terminator Squad (405pts) [2x Chainfist, 9x Grave Warden Terminator, 2x Heavy Flamer with Chem-munitions]

+ Legion +

Legion Astartes [Traitor, XIV: Death Guard]

Concept is simple: everybody lines up, and then marches. The grave wardens + the claw terminators make up the front ranks (Grave Wardens since they eat charges amazingly, and the claws since they can deal with blob squads quite a bit faster), the command squad + death shroud make up the center of the second rank, and the rest fill in the gaps. We're I to take this up to 3,500 I'd add on a 10-man tartaros squad w/ volkite + 2 reaper autocannons and a primus medicae to sit in the death shroud squad.

Now, if any of you want tips on good list building just ask, since we can all see that this truly is a showcase of what 30k can be like, if you know what your doing

The main issue I see is your slow....so templates and ranged gunfire will reduce many of your squads before you even reach the enemy lines.

Plasma squads could easily inflict very heavy losses on you, as well as Medusa/phosphex or other AP 2 templates.

Even fury of the legion could easily pick off a couple terminators in a turn on average dice rolls.

That many terminators is very resilient but due to slow speed and no Deep strike the other player could simply work on slowly shooting you to pieces. a drop pod or two to deal with heavy artillery or plasma weapon batteries would go a long way. Example a Predator executioner with RoF3 plasma would be rough on this list, or the deflag CCW knight.....so it has weaknesses for sure.

(pssst, the 'best list evar' part was a joke ) Yeah, it has weaknesses, though: locally, I'm the only one who uses phosphex (Being DG and all that), and strangly only one or two players use artillery. This list is 90% just to see if I could put most of my terminators on the field in a single list at a playable point level

Surfing the Tervigon Wave...on a baby.

Even though it's the sort of list that would be shredded to death by Plasma and AP 2 everywhere?

I LOVE IT.

It is so very much in character it hurts.

Remember folks, 30k's not just about winning. It's about keeping to the flavour of your Legion. Ok, so you can't advance toward them. Prioritise a local objective and FORCE them to come to you instead. That is the Death Guard way.

Now only a CSM player.

Yeah, I feel I would have zero problems dealing with this list, without touching my standard build, but I've gotta agree with just about everyone else, it would be great to see on the table.

remember: you're poison h. bolters gimme a 4+ FNP, cover won't really slow me down, and grave wardens screw with charge bonuses. Outside of the 'sarcasm' in the title, I know it's a "meh" list, but it's one that's there to be fluff/silly to actually play

Personally?
I run plasma heavy mechanicum so I wouldn't have many issues.
Most 30k armies stack plenty of AP2 or anti tank weapons, which will all be turned on the termies as they are the only targets.
So with slow movement I doubt you will reach combat against most armies.

As above though, would look nice on the table

isn't most all plasma in a mechanicum list AP: 3? I ask because I'm working on my own list, and I though that the fusils weren't AP: 2?

That force sounds great!

I would definitely go out of my way to play against it!
It feels like a loyalist force which could appear out of the dust storm on isstvan 3; where all the vehicles are destroyed and only the most thoroughly sealed suits managed to protect them from the extremis virus.
Awesome!
