Does anyone know if there any rumors of a new Space Marine bike kit on the horizon? The current one is kind of... lame in comparison to the stellar new kits.

From a modeling POV, the scout bikes are way better then the regular ones.

Nothing I've heard of. It would be pretty nice to have at least SOME of the special weapons options in the kit, but I can tell you that a new bike kit should be pretty low on GW's priorities. First should be an update to SoB (probably not going to happen), Orks, and Chaos. Those three model ranges are in far greater need of an update than anything in the SM range.

Bikes also have good enough rules that the kits could be lumps of actual crap with soft detail and massive mold lines and they would still sell.

Actually, that’s not far off from what we have.

I’m not going to argue that other ranges need more love them marines. Like all of them. Frankly I’d like to get less new things. What we have works just fine, and the fluff is already straining from all the stuff they dump on us. If I had to put together a list of “top 10 kits that need to be made” I don’t think there would be a SM kit on it.

But of the marine range, what could use a re-cut? Bikes. We have new Tacs/Devs/Assaults, and PA vets. We have stuff we never asked for. How many kits in the marine line are as old as the bikes? Not many. Them and the basic dread come to mind. And compared to what they are doing these days, they could both use the upgrade.

If they redo the bike kit they'll need to add something to it to get everyone to buy the new ones. Probably a grav-cannon. Yup. Grav-cannon. Right on the handlebars.

You know that the current bikes can already take Grav-Guns, yeah?

And that they're not in the current kit?

You could try the Chaos bike kit - cut off those spikey bits and end up with.... oh wait

I've not heard a thing. Most of my sources of info have either left gw, or I don't see them often enough for regular updates though.

Aww, what a shame. At least you can add bits to them to make them not as lame. Though, considering with the AM kit, I can't wait to see a new biker kit!
