Are the terminators deepstriking? I don't see stock terminators with lightning claws making their points back in a competitive setting. But hey it's definitely an in your face threat, takes more heat off the mutliators.
Also mutliators? I love the balls on this guy. I have always thought they would be fun if I could make them work. So good on you I guess.
Yes, Arkos runs with the Chosen. He's a great toolbox character. He's T5, with the rest of the stats of a Chaos Lord, comes with counterattack, allows you to choose your deployment zone without rolling, allows re-roll for seize the initiative, and comes with a S+2 AP3 Rending sword and a combi-melta. He's a great beatstick. I've found that counterattack is great on a unit of chosen, since they have 4 attacks on the charge, 5 for Arkos. I pop out, melta something, and wait for a charge; if you don't charge me, I'm coming to you next turn. Sometimes I also just stay in the Dreadclaw when it comes down, then move in and melta/assault turn 2. I LOVE the Dreadclaw with this unit, they never let me down.
I do deep strike the Terminators; they will typically do one of 3 things for me: drop in and Plasma something to death (thumbs up), drop in and soak up a bunch of fire and take the heat off other units (Arkos, Maulerfiends, Mutilators, etc.), or be left alone and they assault some infantry and shred them to pieces. All good things for a 160 point investment.
Mutilators, if you just look at their stats, suck in the worst way. However, if left alone, they are actually great at killing or tying up infantry, or using their Chainfists to wreck those annoying free Rhinos and Razorbacks and Drop Pods, or just hiding out of
LoS to take an objective. Not an expensive investment for another toolbox unit. I just wish they could run, for pete's sake!
