Arts from newest Age of Sigmar Book - Battletome Flesh-Eaters Courts.
In my opinion one of the most amazing arts so far.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I've been looking forward to this! Great stuff, certainly showing the setting's bloody side.

Spoiler:

Check out the stormcast in the top right (the one zapped by purple lightning), his pose and what he's "sitting" on Other than that overall it is pretty good.

But this is also an art where you can see stormcast in serious problem - that`s rare.

I have been complaining a lot of the art work in the AoS books. These are not that bad. Still not the expectations when I think of GW art, and still looks like Fan Art but a lot better non the less.

Here is hoping GW is improving in the art department now.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

The art in that books is seriously great, the standard that it should be across all of them. Interestingly I think the one in your original post is possibly the weakest short of the portraits (which is pretty small anyway). Actually, its worth noting for people without the battletome that all the pieces of art with just one individual (aside from the Varghulf) are just portraits occupying only the corner of a page, so they aren't meant to be as detailed and the lower quality really doesn't take away from anything.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

There is defintely some great stuff there, some with a bit more grit and dynamism than in previous books, and as mentioned above, the handful that have Stormcast in serious trouble are very welcome!

Some are abjectly terrible in my view, like these:
Spoiler:

Proportions are all over the place,

and this:

I know Nagash has never been the most handsome chap, but that is just poor, I think.

But it's more than made up for by these superb pieces that are on par with any Old World stuff:
Spoiler:

Very traditional style, this one:

This is just awesome!

As is this... anyone know what the giant-Dwarf is in the background? The Duardin answer to Ant/Giant-man?

Great stuff:

Definitely more hits than misses in this one!

I love it! I just *wish* there was one of their noble dreams. Even if it was rehashed Brett art with a mirror image of the horrible reality.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Yeah, that would have been great. I still think this is one of the best Age of Sigmar factions, but they really could have gone a little further.

Can't argue that there's some pretty cool art for them, though!

Easily my favorite. Look at the poses - if you don't know anything about Chaos Warriors, you'd swear they were the heroic good guys in this one. And the ghoul crawling out from under the tree? Awesome.

I wanna see some Blanche Flesh-Eater art!

Huh, I actually like the ones from the first quote better than the Ghouls-vs-Bloodbound one. The proportions don't seem off to me; more that the artists is just playing with foreground/background. I get the sense that the 'big' Ghoul is very close to the viewer, with the battle line continuing into the back. As for further down, the giant Fyreslayer is just a statue (presumably of their god).

Also, so much for the idea that they are "PG-ing" their art in Age of Sigmar. Plenty of gorey bits throughout the book.

I'm incredibly fond of the creative take on "Vampires/Ghouls" and love the premise enough that I grabbed one of the $180 bundles.

Yeah, especially the Ghouls vs chaos piece which could easily mirrored a knight in the center, his men-at-arms meeting the attack, a sortie of winged knights and a jester climbing out from under the tree.

I understand why they didn't, though. The art has to represent the models, so showing a version of heroic and knightly Free People would've spoiled what they possibly have planned for the future Free People look.

Thanks! I will try to make next chapter as fast as possible
For me this is important part of the hobby and grat source of inspiration for my army (i play daemons so not to much for me in "Courts" )
Flesh-Eaters Court Battletome has very warm welcome - it`s truly one of the best book so far and for me it`s also sign that AoS slowly take place after WHFB.

I am a big mclargehuge undead fan, but in my opinion this art is just awful. I didnt mind the battletome death as much and some of the core art, but this is just...awful. It is way too silly cartoony for me. I will admit to absolutely loathing the fluff/setting to AoS, but some of the art was not bad...this, to me this is just no. with only formations to add, will pass on this eyesore.

They range from bad to mediocre with the bad ones being quite embarrassing. Thanks for putting it up for viewing though OP, good work.

If I had to choose best ones, I'd say those two:

For me, this one is the best...

Now I really, really, REALLY want to start a small desert/arabic-themed ghoul army with dark, rubbery skin, red eyes... all the ancient, arabic folklore stuff...
