OK so i have decided to make a chaos space marine army that would play as all the power armoured marines. This specific warband was iron warriors grand company+ thousand sons company (pre rubric but mid heresy). So they have seen some stuff in the warp because they got trapped, and they have become tainted and ruthless. they have a strong sense of brotherhood as they have experienced some things. Their name is "the forgotten" and i dont know what their sigil should be.

so here is the question

- what should be their sigil
-what should be their warcry
-what should their color scheme be

some notes : i hate green unless you convince me otherwise, i will not do colors that are very similar to other warbands/ chapters

thx for the help guys!

Hot pink and day glow purple.

That's about all you got if you aren't willing to use colors not in use by other chapters/warbands.

They should all have different sigils because none of them can agree on what it used to be. Their warcry could be "Thrones for the skull god! Blood for some other reason!" to represent their confusion. And their colors should be hazard striped black and yellow, because they're fed up with being forgotten and want to be noticed again, and what's more noticeable than a warning sign?

In case you couldn't tell I'm a rather silly player.

"The undead ogre believes the sack of pies is your parrot, and proceeds to eat them. The pies explode, and so does his head. The way is clear." - Me, DMing what was supposed to be a serious Pathfinder campaign.

I'd say do them in a neutral color scheme that won't make them look like they should be with a specific god. So, don't go for a camo green (nurgle) purple/pink ( slaneesh) luminous blue (tzeench) or blood red (khorne). That way there's no confusion or complaining when you field your marines with different marks each battle.

Also magnetize the banner to swap between gods.

Or go for one of the known big name chaos legions thats undivided- Night Lords, Iron Warriors, Black Legion, Word Bearers...

Iron Warriors are metal. Thousand Sons are blue. Therefore the conclusion is that your marines should be metallic blue. Metallic red also possible because pre-heresy Thousand Sons were red.

Sigil: also combination of Iron Warriors and Thousand Sons. Something like a grinning skull surrounded by ouroboros or the pre-heresy sun symbol. And don't forget hazard stripes!!!

The warcry you should make up yourself, for with so little information to go on, it is not possible for us to say.

If you think it is fun, do it. Or maybe make seperate thread in the 40k background forum.
I think getting feedback is always good when writing fluff.

Green.

Paint them silver and wash them with the warpshade of your choice, orange, green or pink/red, to represent the corrupting effects of the warp on their metal armour.
Thousand Sons are incorruptible but you can use their preheresy scheme as they are not loyal to Ahriman.

That should look unique.
