@Midget Gems and @kb_lock - thanks for your kind words. It's all down to Midget Gems tips on taking photo's.

It should now be safe for small children and those of a sensitive nature to view my pics without causing too much offence.

It's a hound of judgement.

I'll decide next week. Got a painting lesson I'm sitting in on, it'll either inspire me or kill my innards.

No problem whatsoever!

In fact, pending pics, I'll be throwing up my proof and final pics in one post later today!

My entry for June is Rubio! I'm so sorry I don't have a proof to share, but he matches The Garro I have painted - would that suffice as proof?

Voila!

well, i knew that it would be a tough contest for me last month, going up against entries with terrain and multiple models with just a single tiny Gobbo...
this month i get to come back with a bigger, hopefully more impressive, mini...

Epic Borka is my contribution to the Clash for a Cure charity auction, raising money for the American Cancer Society, who are working to find a cure for Cancer...
i have wanted to paint Borka since he was introduced in Hordes...
i bought the original model, but still haven't had a chance to paint him...
when Bearka came out in 2014, i knew i had to find an excuse to paint this guy...
when asked which mini i would like to paint this year, i didn't even have to think about it...
a badass drunken Troll riding a giant polar bear was an easy call

this is going to be fun...
hopefully my model selection will help me get a better result this month...

cheers

Hey guys,

A little late getting in but I would like to enter my Great Unclean One from Forgeworld !

After reading the post the other night I got way too excited and started painting without taking a photo.

I stopped and took a quick snap, and luckily all I had done was apply 1 single wash to some fleshy areas, and so of course happy to use this as is as my before picture

I anticipate this guy to go pretty fast as im trialling a new way to paint Nurgle ( new to me anyway ) using primarily washes.

Without further delay here is the big fella ! Sorry for bad lighting , was around midnight

Entered !

Looking forward to seeing your take on this guy! If you need any tips or the like, be sure to give me a message. I painted one last year, and he came out rather well if I do say so myself ^^ He was also my test for a new Nurgle theme, so I can relate to the idea of using him as a base

Thanks man ! I checked out your gallery and saw him. Looks good very sinister !

Well funny enough... I spent all today on him and he only needs a little work on the Sword and base, and he will be done ! Expect the picture to be up soon

Loads of beautiful entries so far. Really nice models and paintjobs. I'm so looking forward to see those hero quest models. I remember them as a kid and I had the expansions too. I really wish I still had them!

@Moolet - ooh yeah they're shaping up to be some real nice death company...great work so far, look forward to seeing them done!

@Soldier0Fortune - oh man! so jealous! ...I'd love to get one of those to paint up...unfortunately I keep impulse-buying ork stuff on ebay, so I never quite have enough spare cash together at once to splurge on one...one day though! ...I look forward to seeing finished pics!

@jah-joshua - I loved your entry last month man, deserved a lot more votes in my opinion! ...I'm looking forward to seeing that crazy drunken bear-riding troll painted up though, that should be great!

haha thanks man ! He is so stupidly close to completion... tomorrow morning I shall finish him up, then make up some pics, and upload ! I know all about those impulse buys...often my warhammer budget bleeds into my savings which bleeds into the warp of nothingness I have always wanted one myself but could never pay the FW price, however this fella I got on eBay for 90 AUD post included, brand new , where as he is like 90-something GBP . It was hands down one of the best finds i've ever had

good lord! AU$90's a steal! - wish I'd seen that! ...I mean, the old baby GW GUO is AU$96!...I actually bought a second hand metal version of the GW model for about $45 a couple of months ago, I just wanted a GUO for my nurgle daemons, got tired of waiting...and it was the metal one, not finecast ...it actually doesn't look too bad painted up nicely, the GW store pics don't do it any favours...of course I definitely plan on getting the forgeworld one someday...and I'm also very tempted to broaden my greenstuff skills and convert a glottkin, but both of those options will be a while away yet, and the little metal dude will tide me over for any games until then

Some exciting entries so far! I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished pieces.

I will be entering this month, but I've had a bit of a strange and terrible week! I've spent a while deciding who I wanted to paint (I narrowed it down to a choice between two) and started the process of stripping some extremely old paint off one of them while I came to a final decision. Not that I'm over-thinking the whole thing or anything...

Anyway, you may remember me mentioning that I had broken my wrist playing football a few weeks back, which made painting a bit awkward. That's largely healed now, so I made my triumphant return to my 5aside team. My comeback lasted about half an hour, before I somehow managed to break my foot!

Oddly, the foot is proving more of a hindrance to painting than the wrist. It's hard to hobble over to my painting table, and I can't elevate my leg while sitting there, which limits the amount of time I can spend painting. Also, one of my chosen minis is sitting in a tub of dettol in my garage, and I can't get out there to scrub it off.

All of which means, I'll get my proof in when I can, and I've got my excuses in for the inevitably poor final results nice and early.

oh mate...that's some shocking luck! - maybe you should buy a lottery ticket on the off-chance your luck decides to balance itself out and give you a win?

ah well...hope it doesn't take too long to heal up for ya man...

Zobo : It certainly was man I was absolutely blown away... I watched it like a hawk for about 5 days and no one put down any bids so I locked in the starter at 90 on the last day and ...won Couldn't believe it.

A Glottkin would make a sick base for a conversion. The Maggoth lords are also pretty good for that I've had in depth looks at them they can do very well! I have only seen the GW GUO once in person and ill agree fully with you, the store pics do not do it any justice it was pretty incredibly painted

Ok guys here is my second attempt at uploading the images, i've hit some technical difficulties... Nurglings caught in the gears and whatnot !
