I think, in the spirit of fairness, and as the op stated midnight on the 31st of June (which doesn't exist), the cut off should be extended to midnight tonight to accommodate the very easily made error, and allow for people who thought they had an extra day...
Fair enough! Thanks to Jan's train and my inability to correctly recall the number of days in June, the deadline is officially extended until midnight tonight... by which I mean the poll will go up some time tomorrow afternoon, so tomorrow morning is fair game as well.

Gulgog - that orc is great! The photo has come out quite dark, and I think there might be a quite simple way to fix that. I'm no expert, in fact my wife takes all my photos! She has mentioned to me in the past that the camera will try to average out the light so that the light areas don't become over-exposed. As you're taking the photo against such a light background, I think the camera is making the miniature, the actual subject, a bit dark. You could try taking the same photo with a grey or other neutral background, perhaps. It might help!
As I say though, great job with the miniature. You scratch-built it? Blimey. I could never do that, I'm too cack-handed. I hope my feedback regarding the photography isn't unwelcome - it's meant in a spirit of helpfulness.

Home. finally. feth. photos taken and here they are. Sorry they are pretty crappy quality. ipad was the best i could do. threw some frames on to make them a little less 'done in 60 seconds' ish! The blood is still totally fresh and with this humidity will probably still be drying come chrsitmas. anyways - here's The Nurse. Hope you enjoy her as much as I did painting her
@Feltmonkey: Comments of any kind are always welcome. Photography is definitely something I'm struggling with, and I think it's a combination of poor lighting and my laziness- I need to go through my camera's manual because I think there are settings I could change that might help, too. The backpack and the wires are the scratch-built part, the rest is just a kit-bash of GW bits.
Great work this month everyone, can't wait to vote!
@Gunhazard: Simply awesome! Would you mind sharing your method for the blue armour with those purple tones? Looks intriguing.
Thanks dude! ...it's mostly just "P3 Sanguine Base", my favorite all time color!
The main blue was just a standard light blue (actually Miniataire Sky Blue)... and the shadows were "GW The Fang"... then I used the "P3 Sanguine base" to glaze it all together.
This was really a test for my Tyranid carapace scheme.
Thanks to Jan's train woes, I can now claim finished without feeling guilty!
Of course, that means Jan will be in the competition now, which means I'm automatically one place further down, but hey ho!
EDIT: Also, I know he's not based, but that's a deliberate choice; I've fallen out with my original basing scheme for my Tau army and I'm trying something new (see last month's competition), but I'm not 100% happy I can make it work on this area just yet, so I've left it until I can do it right. Plus, you know, he's flying! Had to take at least one shot to better show off the pose.
P.S. Para, can you use these as my final pictures please!
