Is the Griffon tank and Mortars gone for good? I haven't been gaming since 4th-5th edition. I just got the 6th edition BRB.I'd would like to get back to gaming. Guess a lot of things have changed since then.
I use army builder and have the latest upgrade and there is nothing there to add them.

It is no longer in the IG codex. It is now a FW only model again. The rules or it are in IA: 1 second edition
But to be honest you would probably want to use it as a proxy for a Wyvern since those tanks are superior to it in most situations

Call me curious sir. Your user name implies you're in the Mississippi area?

If so, where-abouts? I'm in the Jackson Metro area here and play at Penta Smite in Pearl, MS. Do you live in the area?

Thanks, and take it easy.

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

Guess again Sherlock. The OP is quite obviously female and married to a Cockney person, from the late 1960s, who rejected established institutions and values and sought spontaneity, direct personal relations expressing love, and expanded consciousness, often expressed externally in the wearing of casual, folksy clothing and of beads, headbands, used garments, etc

I do not live in Mississippi. I have visited Biloxi and Gulf Port. I actually enjoyed my time there. Great people.
As for the name. It is actually taken from my favorite character in John Wayne's movie El Dorado.
When I joined this forum I was painting Old West figures.

What would be the best pieces I could get to convert my Griffon to a twin link mortar?

If you have the FW version ebay is the best place. As in sell the Griffon since it's OOP and expensive, then buy a Wyvern.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I have done a Griffon Mortar Tank with a DKoK Heavy Mortar and a chimera hull I found on 40k trade FB page. You can see it on the page 2 of my army thread, in my signature.

Not sure if it is what you were asking, but still.
Oh, and Peregrine is right; Griffons are inferior to Wyverns in term of raw destructive power, even though they are cheap and accurate (they always count as TL).

- 22nd Rhayé Storm Division : 2000points (Spetsnaz-themed IG)

- Ordo Xenos : ~700pts
