This is another from the Eternal Crusade Forums. This was a voted on chapter from another RP group I was apart of. Uriel1339 was the lead of this one. What you guys think?

Later after Horus Heresy - I determined it as 021.M31 to be exact

Deathworld in the same system as a Forge World controlled by the Adeptus Mechanicus and specializes in all sort of Armors & Vehicle Chassis.
It was an Exterminatus weapon test-site before the Iron Brotherhood settled here.

If it is common knowledge that you are from a traitor Legion, the Ordo Hereticus would be very suspicious along with every other imperium ally you come across

I don't think he meant common knowledge, only that the Chapter members themselves are aware - similar to the Dark Angels and their secret about the Fallen, as no one else knows anything about it.

But they were created in M32 so the HLoT would know they are Iron Warrior descendants

Unless the HLOT had no knowledge of the founding...PLOT TWIST!

To the greater Imperium they are just another loyal chapter that was founded in a time of turmoil and chaos.

They are made from traitor geneseed at the time of the Scouring. The HLoT would have kept a very keen eye on where all the gene-seed went and be conducting tests to ensure it was not tainted.

Or maybe only certain members of the High lords knew? Also later down the line who says that the information doesn't get destroyed or corrupted?

May I remind you that the Scouring was basically a witch hunt? The HLoT would not simply overlook you for any reason.

While it was a which hunt, they had to do something with loyal members of traitor legions. We have a few examples of them possibly existing in 40k. Blood Ravens (Possible Thousands Sons descendant), The Grey Knights founding fathers came from Traitor legions, And there are several other chapters that are rumored to have traitor geneseed. Also not every Iron Warrior outpost had to have fallen traitor. This legion was one of the most numerous because it was a garrison legion. The High Lords probably did know but with the chaos at the time and complete loss of information later things can change. And it still wouldn't be common knowledge. According to the current lore the High lords have been killed to a man twice.

Hmm. Probably not. As I said in the beginning this was a group voted on thing. I guess they may be close to the inquisition so the inquisition does get suspicious of them and squash them. They might be using good relations as a smoke screen or something.

If the founding date is in M32, it would be highly unlikely for a traitor-descended Chapter to be founded. M32 is a millennium after the end of the Horus Heresy and the Scouring (both of which were in the the beginning of M31). Virtually all Astartes who were around during the Heresy had already died at that point and it seems very unlikely that the High Lords would use traitor geneseed to found new Chapters, especially with the Heresy still being a relatively recent memory.
The only likely experiment with traitor geneseed that ever took place was the 13th Founding.
So either the founding date should be moved back in time to allow them to be descended from loyalist Iron Warriors or the founding date should be moved way back to the 13th Founding (but in that case they'd probably not be aware of their dark origins). Alternatively of course, you could make it into a cool story to explain the reason why Iron Warriors geneseed was used in M32. Maybe tie it in to the anarchy that resulted from the Beheading or something like that?

I think that is probably a typo on the timeline. They are suppose to be 2nd Founding.

Then the timeline should read 021.M31 (or 043.M31 if you want to preserve the 20 years needed for building up Chapter strength). It is a small detail, but still having the timeline in order is important for good stories.
One more detail, at this point the Marines should be veterans of the Horus Heresy, so they would not really need any more training, let alone training for 20 years.

Thanks I edited it. I went with the timeline for not needing to train up.

I hardly see how Imperial Fists could be BFF with their nemesis' grandsons!

They aren't? From what I posted they are only acquainted with each other but they have good chapter relations with other chapters.
