so, I have started a Blood Dragon vampire army in AoS recently and I have been thinking of some fluff to go along with them, but one thing is stopping me from completing the story: can vampires drink blood from chaos warriors, or would it be too tainted for them to down?

If you listen to the podcast Mortal Realms episode where they cover Shyish, they do mention a vampire brotherhood that feasts upon some Bloodbound that the Stormcast kills off with the help of Manfred.
So that should suggest that vampires in Shyish are perfectly fine with drinking the blood of chaos followers, although it seems to have a certain effect on the vampires doing so, as is also hinted at in the episode.

They can. It's mostly nurgle followers that cause problems, not chaos in general. They can't drink blood from daemons, however.

Does that include stuff like manticores or other beasts like that? and does chaos mutation from tzeench hurt anything?

Pretty much this nurgle is a big no no for vampires.

Not sure, I don't think the fluff has gotten that specific. Theoretically speaking I'd think that if something is so mutated its no longer recognizable (chaos spawn, mutalith, etc) then it'd be a no-go, but something like a manticore that is a chaos-associated but relatively 'normal' would be fair game. Probably depends on the vampire's power as well; a more powerful individual would have less problems.

Yes, they mention it during the Story phase. It's mentioned when they talk about the "seventy seven brothers", that have apparently sworn to protect some human settlement ages ago, and go nuts when drinking some the defeated Bloodbound that the Stormcast is fighting off.
Anyways it's worth listening to the whole story phase because a lot of it is about Manfred and Shyish, so it'll give you some good background for a force containing vampires.

Well it's more the fact the brothers can't control their beast side why do you think they have not fought anyone in several years? They can no longer control their blood lust hence the meditation and seclusion it was not the chaos blood that caused them to "change". Plus we have no idea how often the pilgrims make the "trip".

They mention in the podcast, that the pilgrims give their blood to the brothers, which doesn't trigger the transformation in the brothers. It is not until the brothers drink from the Bloodbound that they transform and go crazy.

I haven't heard the audio drama from Black Library that they are going through, but from the podcast it seems to me, that vampires are affected by some kind of bloodlust if they drink from Khorne followers for instance.

I have listened to the audio drama several times they are suffering from a case of Varghulf when chaos attacked they refused to fight at all. Mannfred and the stormcast jumped to the attack and the lord celestant Tarsus is asking mannfred why are they not defending themselves? Mannfred pretty much says they can't and they won't leave their inner chamber.

So the lord celestant decided to convince mannfred that they have to defend them of course mannfred thought it was a waste of time and mannfred refers them as weaklings and fools. Now do recall chaos are kinda in control of the realms and they have to survive on the little blood that the pilgrims give them. Now imagine then after that a chaos warband busts into the inner chamber and stormcast and warriors of chaos start slaughtering each other? Spilling blood everywhere? They began to change before they even had one drop of chaos blood.

Vampire's only turn into varghulfs when they have a lack of blood and they have a hard time controlling their "Beast" side that is why they no longer fought or did anything for that matter. In the flesh eater court books ghoul kings who are vampires drain chaos all the time. Heavily mutated people is bad and nurgle warriors are bad to drink from.

Not sure how much it applies in AoS but there was a cool chapter in the Fall of Altdorf for the End Times where Vlad Von Carstein bit Otto Glott, starts wretching while Otto Laughs.

So yeah they can but as previously stated different followers blood has different effects on Vampires.

I'm pretty sure vampires cant drink blood that is too thick, so ogre blood might be a bit fatty for them. As for orruks, people still haven't decided what's inside them, so it's up to you if they can drink it.

So, so far the things vampires can probably drink are, judging by the lore:

Chaotic Beasts (Dragons, manitcores, giants(?))
Humans
Chaos tainted humans (barring very narly nurgle followers and uber mutated tseench followers)
Dwarfs
Elfs
Dark Elfs
regular animals

Chaos stuff does not always have blood in its veins - it might have bile, acid, gold, or something really weird.

Vampires in Warhammer were often pretty choosy but drank from most living creatures: so humans, dwaves, elves, giants, dragons, animals beastmen - etc. They each have a different flavour

Nurgle tainted chaos is unlikely to be pleasant - not sure if Nurgle's Rot works completely as they don't have souls as such but likely can corrupt their physical form.

AOS I would think would be similar.

They also seemed to give extra effects sometimes in Fantasy. If I remember right if a Vampire drank Dragons blood they would lose their thirst for blood.
