Trade with ephrael
Ephrael - Two ForgeWorld Imperial Fists Upgrade sets, twoPhalanx Warder upgrade sets and one NiB Spartan Assault Tank.

Me - One NiB Stormraven, 1 NiB Iron Strider, $150usd

Money Transferred May 14th via PayPal, my items shipped on May 17th with tracking and confirmed received. I have not received the items traded for, and every inquiry has been met with personal reasons why. I gave the individual and extra week and a half to get things sorted, I have attempted to contact the individual via PMs twice since this last Extension and have received no communication back to them or that I would be filling out a Transaction Report. It is now 1 month since payment I habe revived no indication of the trade being completed any time soon.

If you sent the individual money via PayPal I'd recommend starting a dispute with them as well - after...30 days I think, PayPal either fights you on it or flat out doesn't bother with it.

I'm only going on what others have posted - someone with more experience may want to chime in here.

Also - shame that it's come to this, especially when it appears the person has real-life reasons for not shipping your stuff. But, either way, I hope this get's resolved.

I had a similar issue with ephrael - he agreed to trade some Alpha Legion torso and Headhunter upgrade sets for a couple of my custom screen printed dice bags.

At first he claimed several days of "I'll be mailing out your items tomorrow/this weekend". Then he mentioned that his water heater malfunctioned and flooded his basement. Then he mailed out everything, but apparently all 4 packages were lost in the mail by USPS.

On May 5, he responded about the lost packages I mentioned above, and claimed that he'd be willing to pay me the value of the dice bags via Paypal.

I responded to that message on May 15th, letting him that that would be an acceptable response, and that I'd accept a payment of $50 via Paypal for the dice bags.

I have not heard from him since. I'm writing this "trade" off as a loss, and a lesson.

Yeah that's an eerily near identical situation to mine, considering this information is believe I will be reporting this as a scam.

I'm so late in responding to this, but yeah, I'd definitely report as a scam if I were you. It's one thing to have some real life issues get in the way, but at this point(for me at least) it's been more than a month since the "I'll Paypal you for the dice bags" message, and far longer than that since the trade was initiated. Get in touch with Paypal asap and get some sort of resolution.

Its 180 days(6 months) to file an item not received dispute through paypal.

As of right now the situation is working through the chain with PayPal so at this point I'm just waiting on thier resolution.

without a bartertown account you cant see any of that.

Thanks man! but yeah that is an odd shift to see in someone.

Just as an update:

Took the situation to PayPal, he failed to respond to them and because of this they granted my refund. While it does not fix the items I sent, it is at least a favorable outcome on the currency side.

I did 3 or so trades in the past with him and they all went well.

So is a strange switch in behavior. Maybe someone hacked his accounts? Who knows as its been a couple years since those trades.
