I also have a teaching qualification, but I refuse to teach in the UK education system after what Gove did to it.
I was applying for a PhD but European Funding kind of died when England voted for political and social suicide. Guess who's just said he want's to be Prime Minister.... Gove.

"Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. " - V

The spaceflight and astrophysics modules are the most enjoyable parts imho, I wish my course had more of them.

I'm a bit of a mutt when it comes to education. I was never a believer in taking "easy pass" classes to fill out my electives. I just took the classes that I needed, then filled in the rest with classes that I found interesting.
I ended up Graduating in 3.5 years with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Since I still had 6 months left on my free-ride scholarship I wasn't going to let it go to waste.
I looked at the classes that I had taken, and what would cross over into other degrees. I used that last 6 months to pack my schedule with enough classes to get a degree in Statistical Analysis (only needed one class for that) and Criminology. I could have gotten a degree in History as well, but a mandatory 400 level class had no seats left when I applied. One credit short, dang it.
Currently I own a restaurant and am contemplating getting my P.I. license.
