How many formations/detachments can be issue from totally different factions? For example, can I have some, say, Marines, Eldars and Chaos together?

How many points do you have, and how many Factions are there?
Those are your limiters before game organizers like TOs come in to play.

I want to know if is legal to have multiple factions (more tham 2) in the same army. i usually play 1850 points battles. I manage to have diferent formations from marines to chaos, eldars, kinghs, etc. So if i have nough points, is possible to have 3 or more detachments from diferent faction/ races?

There is no limit to how many detachments or factions you can have in your army

There are no stated limits on the number of factions in your army any more than there are limits to the number of detachments in your army. Tournaments and some players, do prefer to limit them, however.
However, wisdom would be to limit the number of Factions, especially those who are Come the Apocalypse and Desperate Allies with each other, so as not to limit your options as you play.

Yeah from what I understand, you can have any number of detachments and formations you want belonging to whatever factions / armies you want assuming you have the points to spend.
However using more than one faction will bring forth the levels of alliance rules you must use which are on pg 127 in the big rule book . As Charistoph mentioned, its bad to use a lot with come the apocalypse alliances as your opponent can predict how you will be moving fairly easy.

I wonder what the Detachments section of the rulebook has to say.
Oh, look, the beginning of the fourth paragraph, starting in bold:
"There is no limit to the number of Detachments a Battle-forged army can include and you can use any mixture of Detachments you have available, within the restrictions of the rules that follow."

Oh, look, that doesn't directly answer his question about factions at all. Passive aggressively answering a beginner question with an incomplete answer isn't really helpful...
To the original poster...
When building a Battleforged army, you can have as many detachments and formations as you want from any faction. When building an Unbound army, there are no rules. Take what you want. If you're going to be playing with others or during an organized event, check first. I'm never seen a tournament or community where there weren't "commonly known" rules limiting how armies can be built.

Considering Factions is part of "within the restrictions of the rules that follow" I think it absolutely does and is. A quick reference to or initial look at the (obvious) detachments and factions section should have easily answered the question.

I think what he was trying to say is you are right, but you don't have to be an ass about it...

There is only 1 limit for Factions listed in the BRB, and that is only for the Allie detachment which goes something like; "Units in this detachment cannot have the same Faction as those in your Primary Detachment" So it is entirely possible to have an army with a Marine detachment, Eldar detachment and Chaos Detachment. This was one of the first things I noticed about 7th ed and really one of the few things I don't like. Come the Apoc allies should make you army Unbound, and Unbound should have a clause the makes it ineligible for competitive play (yes in the BRB, not up to TO's) The first silly combo I thought of was someone taking Grey Knights with an Allie of Daemons, and an Allie of Nids. There is absouletly no situation these factions would fight together, EVEN if it was the apocalypse. They would be perfectly content to watch the galaxy burn rather than fight alongside each other. Yet it is perfectly legal, AND Battleforged! to have those Factions in the same army. --

It does seem odd, but I don't think the Come the Apocalypse allies aren't truly "allies", more "those tyranids and Daemons are attacking those pesky Orks we're in battle with, lets leave them to it and clean them up at the end when they've all kllled each other" kind of alliance. But related to the thread, yes you're 100% right, you can ally anything with anything, and as long as each of the forces sticks to either a CAD, AD, or Detachment, they can be Battleforged. Unbound obviously anything goes.

Then we ignore the Restrictions in the Combined Arms Detachment, too? If you are going to include the AD's restrictions, the CAD has one regarding Factions as well. Namely that all the units in a CAD have to be the same Faction (and the AD has the same Restriction).
