Just to illustrate what I was talking about, here's the original metal Cadians from the 90s
One is firing across the chest Hollywood style but the others have weapons raised or lowered, one is trotting, one reloading, one is even aiming his weapon real-world style. That's the sort of diversity of poses you really can't get with multipart plastics but can get with metal.

heh. I could apply a distortion to a mesh to achieve that kind of look, but it would probably only work when looked at from a specific fixed angle - once you moved to the side, it would look all spikey instead of digitally distorted, I think...

Thanks! Very curious to see if these will catch on.
In the meantime, another joint effort by Vanguard Miniatures and Troublemaker Games is coming out soon:
Handy for those who don't want to use round bases for their 6mm miniatures of space ship game scaled ordnance models.

That's awesome!
Too bad there's not enough of a market for 6mm gaming for GW to bother with Epic...... Obviously no one plays it anymore.
Great to see all the companies keeping a sweet game alive.

If you keep the axis local to the section of geometry you're affecting, it should work out alright. I've seen ghosts that have a similar effect.

It is a brand new mould, with a unique height to the bases, and unique hole placement.

Interesting... did someone really try to claim copyright on a rectangular base with 5 holes? that would be abusive, but probably costly to litigate.

Few questions, as a first time buyer of Vanguard and interested in the new bases.
Whats the bases to cost for a pack? Recently lots of people have been selling the amazing rectangle bases again and I do need more for my epics.
Also about how long after a order is placed does it take to get to the states? Anyone know?

Cost of the bases: plan is that they'll cost the same as the round bases, so £4.50 for 50 of them.
Shipping to the US: that all depends on US customs. I guess it takes a few weeks? Not sure though.

The Frigate I've designed will be out soon. Depending on the sales of that one the Destroyers and station will come out.
Frigate (bottom), station (middle), Destroyer (top).

Look what just came out:
Novan Elites Battlemaster Command Tank:
The Battlemaster is a front line C4i (command, control, communications, computer and intelligence) vehicle for novan elite forces.
The design is basically a stretched mauler assault transport chassis and shares many components with that vehicle, the increased internal space allows for a full battlefield command and control suite to be installed giving up to the minute intelligence and situational awarness to the battlegroup commander via the highly sophisticated sensor dome mounted on the upper hull and functions in a similar roll to the regular armies Dictum command vehicle.
The sensor module (with a more limited capacity) can also be mounted on the trojan APC but the smaller size of this vehicle does not allow for the full command package or holo tank to be installed.
Due to the increased internal space a transport variant of this vehicle has been developed for novan elite troops in heavy armour allowing up to 10 such troopers to be transported instead of the mauler’s 5 man capacity with this armour type. With the sensor suite removed the vehicle also has the capacity to mount a scorpion tank turret for increased firepower. This however does reduce the transport capacity back to 5 men due to the turrets operating systems, crew and ammunition.
Dimensions are: hull length 42mm, hull width 25mm, hull height 9mm not including sponson mounts or sensor dome.
Single model (£7.50): http://vanguardminiatures.co.uk/shop/novan-elites-battlemaster-command-tank-x1/
Two-pack (£14.00): http://vanguardminiatures.co.uk/shop/novan-elites-battlemaster-command-tank-x-2/
And yes, it's compatible with existing turrets/sponsons:

Any chance of larger kinda discounted packs for the non-land raiders?
I ask just cause in Epic, you get 4 to a squad, and I know you got your bundle section.
Also I got my non-nemesis dreadknights and they were amazing. Great to paint and see in person. Quickly added to my Grey knight army
