I am try to get best loadout for flyrant in Hypertoxic node,

Hive Tyrant
Lash Whip & Bonesword, Scything Talons, The Miasma Cannon, Toxin Sacs, Egrub, Wings

( designer note - what do Miasma Cannon look like? Do it replace Scythings Talons?)

Tactic
First turn -
This flyrant start out as glide and out of line of sight, and then change into swooping mode and fire it miasma cannon to poison ( or ID ) on enemy's priority non-vehicle unit.

Rest of the games turn.
This flyrant have two template weapon so it can keeping go on swooping mode to shock/poison to vehicles and multiple small unit and take out high toughness unit with poison (and ID)

Why lash whip and bonesword?
It is for last resort right after enemy force me to grounded. Then in my turn I can assault into enemy and hurt them! Lash Whip to ensure I go first against strong unit like riptide or worse. In other way around, I may have to go in gliding mode to clear out my friendly unit who caught out in tarpit, or do a quick capture the objective for VP and tell enemy melee unit "keep out!" with wave a lash whip and 3 X poison boneswords.

Self note -
I thinking that lash whip and bonesword was waste because Scythings talons already have poison and ID on 6 act same as bonesword..
Maybe replace it for Twin-linked Devourer with Brainleech Worms, and find point on elsewhere..

Any thought?

The miasma cannon does indeed replace a pair of scything talons.
There's no official model for it, or picture of what it looks like. But starting with a venom cannon and sticking some extra bits on should work.

There is very little reason to take a lash whip and bonesword. As you said, the hypertoxic node formation already gives you ID on a 6.
Plus the hive tyrant already comes with decently high initiative (certainly far better than that of a riptide...), so the lash whip doesn't help much.
Swap it for devourers. It's hard to go wrong with Devourers on a tyrant. It's just plain better than every other weapon option.

On another note, using the miasma cannon combined with hypertoxic node is actually kinda interesting.
The formation is worded so that it grants ID on a 6 to both poisoned CC and shooting attacks. It's still only a single small blast/flamer. But kinda neat.

Just double check Tyranids codex, yeah you're right, just found page 93 - I have to replace one of Scythings talons for one of bio-artifact.
And in bio-artifact page, in there did said "___ unlike venom cannon___. " so it had to be venom cannon model I guess.

Okay I agree with that and lose lash whip and bonesword and replace it with brain leech devourer. Keeping it flying about

Yeah combined Hypertoxic node with miasma cannon is brilliant combined! For range ID weapons and a flamed template with swooping.. It made this flyrant a very danger FMC I think so.

Since it only can shoot out single wound per model.. Melee is neat way to do it but toxicrene can cover that.
any more poison weapon in Tyrants wargear I might miss out?

Pretty cool combination indeed. As for converting the miasma cannon, there are plenty of pics on the internet of how people have converted them. I converted one and put it on a tervigon to give him a little ranged firepower while camping on an objective and spawning gants.

I'm getting bored with the 5 flyrant build. The Hypertoxic node might shake things up.
