I am proposing a small changes to the Iron Hands Fist of Medusa Strikeforce to be a little more in line with what they are supposed to be.

First change would be to allow an Iron Hands player to take a Techmarine in place of a Chaplain or Captain/Chapter Master in the various available formations so long as it meets all wargear requirements (like a formation requiring a Captain on a bike would require the Techmarine to have a bike as well). Yes this would still allow the taking of Command Squads.

The second big change would be to allow the replacement of assault marines with an Ironclad Dreadnought within formations. I chose assault marines because they are one of the units that feel the least Iron Hands like and Ironclads fill a similar role and are more chapter appropriate.

The third change would be to add an upgrade to the Techmarine similar to the Captain/Chapter Master thing. Was thinking something along these lines.

Upgrade a Tech Marine to an Iron Father for 40 points.

Iron Father
WS5 BS5 S4 T4 W3 I4 A2 Ld10 Sv2+ Unit Type:Infantry (Character)
Wargear: Artificer Armour, Bolt pistol, Power Axe, Frag Grenades, Krak Grenades, Servo-arm
Special Rules: ATSKNF, Chapter Tactics, Zealot, Blessing of the Omnissiah, Bolster Defences, Independent Character
Same upgrade choices as a Techmarine plus the following:
exchange artificer armor, bolt pistol, frag grenades, and krak grenades for Terminator Armor and a Storm Bolter for 10 points.
may exchange the power axe for an Axe of Mechanicus (S+2 Ap2 Melee, Specialist, Invulnerable Save 4+ or +1 to existing whichever is better (3+ max)) for 25 points.
may take a cyber familiar (6+ invulnerable or +1 to existing (3+ max)) for 15 points
same terminator armor options as a Chaplain + the Techmarine/Iron Father list (as appropriate for Terminator Armor).
servitors may be upgraded with bikes at a cost of 7 points/servitor must upgrade all of them.

Finally an Iron Hands player can no longer take Chaplains. Instead you take a Techmarine which MUST HAVE the Iron Father upgrade.

I like most of this, except the servitors on bikes. I don't know why but it just seems wrong. Lobotomites shouldn't be bikers.

It is mostly for conversion purposes and for making servitors viable for a biker techmarine/Iron Father. As they are you would never take servitors when mounted on a bike because they can't keep up. Conversion wise I have some servitors I would like to turn into some half-cyber humanoid half monocycle or some variant of and I can't stand the idea of models I can't use in game. Half man half vehicle type stuff is very mechanicus and fitting for Techmarines/Iron Fathers and Iron Hands in general.
