I was just planning to start a brettonian army and suddenly it appears to have vanished, are they getting squatted? I went to try the empire knightly orders and they don't exist either.... What gives?

Afraid the Bretonnian range was discontinued. (As Ghaz linked)

Only actually horse cavalry left are Empire pistoliers/outriders, high elf dragon princes and dark elf dark riders.

If you want Bretonnia you'll have to look on Ebay or go to the Bretonnian Round Table forum and ask for any willing to sell their models.(kitbashing's an option too)

You could make a cool Chaos cavalry army. Chaos Knights, Marauder Cavalry and Chariots.

You could even de-chaosify them a bit and play them as a barbaric Free Peoples civilisation. Could be cool! :-)

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

They can't copyright horses so you'll never see them, completely stupid over reaction to losing the chapterhouse case.

Do that! A heavy dose of Dwarf and Space Wolf bits would make for an awesome force.

Check out Fireforge games for great alternatives to the discontinued Bretonians. I'm planning on using their Teutonic Knights box and men at arms box as stand in for "Fantasy Knights". Best of all is you get 12 knights per box and something like 48 infantry/box.

I spotted them today for the first time, and had the same exact thought. They look a little smaller than the heroic scale of GW but as long as everything was made from the same range I dont see it being an issue. The are insane for the cost. 48 infantry for £25. That's more than enough to start a an AoS starter force (we only have a 4'x4' table, and I'm terrible at actually painting whole units, so keeping our armies small, and skirmish sized. Which leads to its own problems- like buy more skirmish sized forces and not painting them! )

I wouldn't say that. Powerhouse cavalry, monster killing heroes, bowman arrowstorms that can be devastating and plentiful infantry that can help stop magic.

They can also team up with Stormcast who share the paladin keyword.

(Also, making Stormcasts fit a Bretonnian flavor isn't that hard:

Manufacture-wise, BlackTree, Perry and GamesZone have nice Bret-like options as well.

In AoS mounts always seem to do better than their riders. heh, fear those hooves. Seriously...
