I 've been trying to order one of these for weeks now and they still haven't came back in stock.
Why exactly did GW make a finecast model they don't support anymore so important to the army? Not only is it their principal summoning unit but, the reason I want one, is that its vital for certain formations and accessing the Winterleaf Wargrove.
So I am at a loss as to why they didn't either update this model or just make the Branchwych model a straight up replacement. Some units like the Spirit of Durthu were changed so I don't see why they couldn't have added all the new abilities and just built the new formations around that (very similar) unit.
I don't know, maybe it'll be a future release with the option to make the Lady of Vines as a special character? But atm its really annoying.

I agree completely and it was even out of stock for weeks before pictures started popping up of the new releases we got.

Yep, just take a dryad then shove some longer hair where the hair-twigs would be and bam; branchwraith made.

Its a little difficult to convert a genuinely unique one. For a start you can only really use parts from the Dryad kit and so your Branch isn't going to look that distinct from a normal Dryad.
Plus there will always people who kick off over proxy miniatures.

If anything the new branchwych looks more like a fancy dryad than a branchwraith does so it fits the theme at least.
I've never ran into a problem for either of my dryad brachwraiths either and literally all I did was cut and file some witch aelf hair to fit in the gap on the back of the dryad's head.

Believe me, people can and do consider a conversion to be a proxy model.

Haven't even been able to get regular Dryads or Treelords either here. Been on back order for a couple of weeks now since even before the new book came out. Super annoying because I would have liked to play with more than 30 models in the campaign.

I put an email reminder on Branchwraith at the GA UK site. Got an email Tuesday, ordered and they were back out of stock within minutes.
I think GW were caught unawares by Sylvaneth popularity in general.
Must mean AoS is a roaring success, hmmm?
