Are Tomb Kings still an army in AoS?

Tomb Kings have no models for sale currently from GW but the OOP range was given full points in the GHB, so a player with existing models or who purchases from 3rd party sellers can make an army and play with them in AoS.

As to the video, it has no content so I am not sure how one could like it. The recent KoW Tomb Kings looked terrible in my opinion. I didn't know 9th Age actually made their own minis. Is this the first?

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

9th don't make minis but they are getting support from companies who do like Shield wolf and Avatars of War with Kanadian's new company being the first 9th supporter.

Yep and they have a bunch of synergy with the current skeletons.

As far as I can tell, it's an advert for a new range of Not Tomb Kings to be released by this company.

https://tabletop-miniatures-solutions.com/

I guess that is of potential interest to AoS players, however there don't seem to be more than a few figures for these Not Tomb Kings as of now.

I can't watch it just this moment as I'm on my phone, but if there's skeleton archers as part of this I can see them as the more popular purchase for aos use. Not including chariots and all that.

Why not post some pictures of the minis in here instead of a no-content teaser vid?

Anyway, this looks like a great mini:

Edit: hmm not sure why the image link isn't working.

Not a fan of the horse artwork. I prefer skeletal steeds for my skeleton horseman, personally. Admittedly, it could look neat painted in obsidian or some such.

Also, a small thing, but maybe reference their use in Age of Sigmar in the Indiegogo text. I see a couple references to The 9th Age, none for AoS, but here you are in the AoS subforum doing your adverts.

Show some love to the game thats growing leaps and bounds after a rocky start.

Aside from those few personal quibbles, your stuff looks awesome. Most certainly crushes Mantics "not-Tomb Kings"!

I'd hope so... they cost three times as much, and will be coming out much, much later. :-p

I'll actually also suggest Tomb King fans check local stores. I took a friend around to several stores yesterday, and found plenty of remaining TK models in stock, with many stores eagerly giving 20% of more discounts, just to clear what some locations consider dead-stock.

With AoS on a major upswing, now's the time to grab some deals before the need to turn to third parties is the sole option.

Yea, that would give GW a great reason to go all out on the company for IP rights exc. So as much as I would like to see it, I doubt it will happen.

As to our Attention to detail.

Spoiler:

Many players have concerns as to our ability to produce the miniatures in the time line we have posted. The concerns are justified, as many other companies have failed to meet their dead lines. We understand the reason for these concerns. And we share them in a manner. The reason we can provide such a tight release schedule, is that sculpting and casting is done in house. This solution may not be the cheapest, but it is very efficient time wise. Compared to other companies that have to outsource or use freelancers. This way we save time as we don't have to ship anything, and we do not have to wait, for other projects to finish, so our models get done. We have complete control of every step of the process, and in some cases we can cut the process time in half, compared to other approaches. We do on occasion outsource and use freelancers, as we can compare our projects to others, and we are constantly looking for new talent, while keeping a stable amount of personnel to complete our projects.
Our Lead sculptor is gifted with incredible skill, and the Master Caster is and expert in his field, both in form making forms and casting. Also our team is very elastic, as each of us has his specialization, while we have at leas 2 other people in the company who can stand in if needed. We work in a 2 shift overlapping system. Enabling us to apply more man power to a task, if it is required. This is why we are comfortable with a December release. Naturally it requires a lot of work, and things will go wrong as they do in all projects. But we feel that the time line is realistic, and we aim to finish the project at latest in December, so you can get your miniatures hopefully before the holidays.

Hope this clears up why we feel that December is a safe date for the releases.

Why? That comes out a bid rude without an explanation. Why are you so entitled? Why should people do as you say? Are you a mod? No. I thought we get in trouble for acting like them. I just don't understand this post.

It's common courtesy to use spoiler tags for large images. They can really mess with the way the site displays on mobile device. BTW, he said "please". He's trying to be polite, which is more than I can say for you.

Pretty much.

Also, do we need a "9th Age" Kickstarter in this forum? I get there is overlap with TK players for AoS, but there is already a thread in the news and rumors section.

Thank you, I didn't know that. I will keep that in mind so I don't do that.

Still would have been nice if an explanation for people who don't know. I know if I did that and got this comment, I wouldn't have understood why and took offence to it. By saying please doesn't make it any more less rude without an explanation. Not everyone is so internet savvy or knows the protocols.

Fully agreed. There is a forum for putting commercial announcements rather than the general discussion areas. It is also a bit on the nose that the indiegogo is very clearly targeted at the 9th Age, which has its own section on the forum. Finally, if this were, say, started by somebody looking for Tomb King alternatives that would be cool, but the fact that it is the business itself? Hmmmm.

Overall very poor form.

I don't mind it at all. I'm an avid Tomb Kings player in AoS, and I would not have seen this if it wasn't posted in this subforum. I'm very happy to find an alternate source of models since the scrapping of the TK range!
