So I posted this battle report recently, and one thing it showed off was my friend's cool turn counter:

A few people showed interest in the counter, and it got me thinking that this could be a cool thing to try to get out to the wargaming community.

Those pegs are held in with magnets, and are easily popped out to show the turn number:

As of right now, this is laser-cut MDF and exists as a one of a kind item at my buddy's place. As for size, the current one is 14 inches tall but it could probably be scaled down to 10 inches without losing any durability.

Now for your help, fine people Dakka community:
Would people be interested in this?
Would they prefer a flatpack of MDF, a pre-assembled version, or one made of resin?
How much would people be willing to pay for this?

Ill 100% admit I stole the picture and plan on making my own (for personal use), so its a grand idea.

Will be an easy sell if you can make them inexpensive enough to be an impulse buy.

Past that I'm no help!

It's a beautiful piece, and useful. That said, if I can offer a bit of a suggestion for it, is there a way to get it so that it can sit on, or hang off of the side of a table?

I'd be happy to throw you the .svg file for a few bucks, for private use of course.

I could probably design a base that could bolt up to the lower mounting hole, so that it could sit on a table.

I lack an mdf cutter sadly. I just plan on eyeballin the basic idea and making one by hand. I'll prob switch up the coloring/designs to match my AOS/warmahordes armys.

It would probably sell for 40-50. Personally I would build one but not everyone has access to woodworking tools.

Willing to bet that a mdf flat pack would sell very well!

Finished and painted perhaps for that price. No way as a bare MDF kit.

It's a nice piece, but very niche in terms of being an actual saleable item. It comes with a serious necessity from the customer, a dedicated room, as it's going to be wall hung, which few people have. You are then relying on that small market wanting your product, and being prepared to buy it. I think you need to really consider curran12's suggestion as it will significantly open up the number of potential buyers.

Again though, it is a great piece, so all the best with it!

As others said it is a gorgeous piece and I see uses for it.

If you're up to it consider making a small building with the turn counter as one of the sides. Make the 2 counters simple pegs (no magnets) and the whole thing a flat pack MDF kit.

Bonus points if the building is also a dice tower!

It's pretty slick. I don't have a need for it at that price point. I just use a die to keep track of turns. I also have the clear, green GW one from 2008-9?
