When they get to arguing that Colin Powell and Condi Rice should be in jail for keeping classified documents on their private email accounts, I might believe they care about equal treatment under the law. Once they take the fight to Bush and his senior advisors who ran al their emails through an RNC server, before deleting them, then there may be an argument that they care about public records.
But then, I can't say this because it's excusing Clinton because of the transgressions of others. But it's perfectly fine to excuse the transgressions of republicans because of what Clinton did. Because reasons.
1.) "let me know people care about when Condi and Powell received classified documents via email"
2.) "it's a conspiracy theory right?
3.) provide citation as requested
4.) Oh, you know what, I guess you were right 5.) "well, let me know when one of them built a homebrew server"
it was step 5, if that was an honest question.

Okay... if you want to call that moving goalpost, be my guest.
But, the previous poster alluded to 2 "disputed classified" communications forwarded to Powell AND emails sent to Rice's staff were some how comparable to Hillary Clinton's homebrew server that she AND her staff used exclusively during Clinton's tenure.
Furthermore, the god damned States Department was under a fething subpoena to release those informations, which they've delayed because they claimed to lack the manpower to abide by the judge's order... and yet, found time to look at the previous Secretary's actions.
But, let's go ahead and get the FBI involved... since there's no intent, everything kosher... amirite? That'll be the go to defense with everyone.

No, that's not right, at all. Which has been explained several times, at least once just a single page ago, so I know that I'm the idiot, but I'll repeat: intent is what guides criminal charges. A lack of intent usually does not result in criminal charges, but could result in administrative actions. If you give a laptop full of classified email to a foreign national, you're probably going to get prosecuted. If you mishandle classified material out of negligence, you probably won't be criminally charged, but you could lose a clearance or face other administrative punishment.
Neither is ideal, obviously, but we're not electing Hillary Clinton to administer exchange servers, so the actual issue isn't really that proportionally significant.

I'm not "calling it goalpost moving". I'm telling you it's very nearly a textbook definition. An argument was made, the argument was rebutted, and it was counted with a different, new argument.

I mean, the dude has just traded barbs with his own parody account. These are not the actions of shrewd operator.
If the operator's base wants to see him do exactly that, and the inevitable strategy is "not Hillary" with "Nobama" seasoning, it might not be a bad start.
Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.

At the very minimum, she and her staff should've gotten the Patreous treatment... probation and lose security clearance.
So, for all your cheerings that Clinton won't be indicted... just recognize that it's the FBI refusing to do so not because they didn't have enough evidence to go to trial... it's because Comey didn't want to tarnish the FBI's reputation for having a hand in affecting a presidential election.

An argument was made that Powerll's and Rice's situation were comparable and I jumped in to refute. That's not goal post movement boyo.

Put them in jail too if it was illegal then. They are not however running to be El Presidente.

Personally I don't see the email "thing" being a bar to being a presidential candidate, and the only reason it keeps coming up again and again and again is because supporters of Trump have absolutely feth all else.
Their candidate is such an utter fethwit that they'll grab any straw going, but trying to distract from the man's character and inherent flaws is like trying to cover an elephant sized gak with a handful of glitter.
With luck, this utter human joke will implode in a vortex of his own incompetence and hate.

No... not really.
Killkrazy, intent may factor in specific cases, i.e., intent to kill is required for a murder charge but manslaughter is also a crime and it specifically requires a lack of intent.
When you have many, many foreign nationals donating to the Clinton Foundation... a foundation mind you that's been accused of being a "slush fund" for the Clintons and her cronies, it isn't hard to see nefarious quid pro quo relationships.
And if those supposed "quid pro quo" relationships don't harm the US? Would you drop the the criticism?
BS. Real or public personae who demonstratively lies... should be labeled is a liar.
I said you shouldn't use the phrase "pathological liar", a term with a very specific, clinical meaning, regarding a person you have probably never met.

How did Libya, Syria, Iraq, the Russian reset, and TPP work out? She's an influence peddler of the highest order, back to her days in Arkansas.
But of course the Republicans nominated the one person she could beat so there's that.

Not that hard to attack him especially on vaccination stuff
Yeah, he's got some somewhat outlandish policies, but he's becoming a much more viable candidate for the Not-Trump camp.
We had a thread recently discussing freedoms vs safety, and libertarians are definitely on the extreme end of the spectrum in regards to freedom over safety.

I particularly like the state owned banks and eliminating foreclosures and mortgages. Nothing says strong economy like 12th century England. Also demilitarizing US border crossings. Er...what??? Its likle this person never actually crossed the US border before and got their ideas from watching TV.
Also -ending the right to work. Love it. Now I have to join a union like the loser Yankee states that were controlled by Hoffa and his ilk.

Jill stien is an idiot, banning nuclear power when nearly 20 percent of our power comes from it and banning GMOs sending us back to the dark ages of farming where we were all starving
I can't think of a single candidate that hasnt endorsed equally stupid stancrs or ideas on *some* topic. Someone did a great stance breakdown of Trump, Clinton, Johnson and Stein on a huge number of isses, and every time I thought I'd like Johnson or Stein...there'd be one or two stances or policies they took that were pants on head ridiculous.
The bigger problem being that looking at Trump or Hillary was even worse overall

I just can't understand this level of idiocy. I just can't.
Yeah, I used to advocate that Americans give their throwaway protest vote to Stein and the Green Party, but it seems their party platform is just as moronic as the Libertarians.
