Title says it all really; which primarch is your favourite, both in fluff terms and game terms? Personally I'm torn between Angron and Corax. And maybe Curze too.

For Khaela Mensha Khaine
For the Emperor and Sanguinius!

Curze for traitors, The Khan for loyalists.

Curze because he's just fun whenever he shows up in a novel. This crazy psycho that doesn't have real conistent plan. Doesn't really care abut Horus or the war, just swings between hoping he'll die in battle and prove fate wrong or changing his mind because he wants to school one of his brothers. Everyone hates him but he forces it to be that way because he gets off on being hated, as it validates his behaviour.

The Khan I liked because he was like a poker player, not boasting about his skills but maintaining a level of mystery. He is the only one who openly told the Emperor that he disagreed with the concept of the Imperium. Had Horus not set the Heresy in motion, there's a good chance that The Khan would have either taken his legion off into the void forever or killed the Emperor if he ever seemed too much like a Tyrant. I don't have the exact quote but the line that cemented it my love for the character was in Scars, when he is talking a group of Primarch's at Ulannor and they are debating who would win in a duel, Khan or Fulgrim. And The Khan says with certainty that he would win, because Fulgrim is a peacock and a showman, shouting his talents to the world, whereas no one knows Jaghatai, no one has seen his techniques or his talents. He has a real steel about him, that really makes Fulgrim look like a child in comparison.

Dorn. Because he is best. Even though Forgeworld seem determined not to make a model until 2050

Perturabo fluffwise. It would be Alpharius both fluff and game wise, but I've grown increasing more intrigued by Perturabo's story. Game wise, Perturabo is a close second.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

Top
Magnus - Amazing fluff
Mortarion - Great fluff, fun rules, cool model
Dorn - Second favorite loyalist primarch (Magnus is the first )

Bottom
Lorgar - For obvious reasons
Russ - 'Cause he's a massive hypocritical punk.
Horus - 'Cause he was such a promising hero (and villain) that was basically put into a role of "Idiot who screwed himself over"

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

Fluff wise is Angron. He was still pissed at the Emperor before the Heresy even began for being basically kidnapped and pressed into service. He joined with the traitors I think mostly out of spite to the Emperor and still talked feth about both him and Horus being tyrants.

Game wise I play Salamanders, so Vulkan is the man.

The Night Haunter overall. Vulcan for loyalist. Least favorite is Alpharius' twin, whatever his name is.

Roboutte - the most sane, organised and dependable. Not a frothing maniac and with a contingency plan. Also not a huge fan of the Emperor.

His rules are cool too. Not OP, but definetly not weak. Perfect really.

Must be talking about 2nd Legion's Primarch.

What about the Lion? He's seems like an ass, but he's got some good fluff and the Dark Angels are my favourite legion (Totally not a bias opinion ).

Dorn and Vulkan would each take 2nd and 3rd (respectively) just cause they seem like much nicer people than Lion, and Vulkan has a sweet model.

Wasn't Dorn's solution, to the uprising on Mars during the Horus Heresy, a plan to kill every innocent living thing on Mars via Exterminatus? Not quite sure if I'd call that nice, as he'd be wholesale murdering a lot of innocents just to deny the Warmaster a prize. Don't get me wrong, as an Iron Hands player I approve of his use of cold and calculating logic. Just saying that it's not the nicest thing a Primarch could do.

Yeah, going for the Lion. An extremely flawed good guy, who straight punked Kurze in close combat. Probably puts him right up by Sanguinius and Horus in terms of brother beat assability.

I like Johnson a lot. He's been my favorite Primarch to read about to date.

There is very little room for nice in war. Especially total war 30K style.

I Like Corax's fluff more, too. He's the rare 'super-humanly intelligent general bred for war with centuries of experience' who comes up with battle plans more complex than 'rush head first into inevitable death'.

I feel like Corax is one of the more relatable primarchs.

Angron is still best, though.

As for the loyalists I like Robert the more I learn about him, with the honorable mention going to Ferrus Manus for having cool eyes and arms, and imo best Forgeworld model.

As for the traitors I like Lorgar and Alpharius the best. Lorgar is the most interesting primarch imo, but admittedly gets bonuses for being well written. Thanks ADB. And although I didn't like the Legion book, Alpharius reminds me of an always right, matter-of-fact, Archaon type. He didn't partake in idle chatter, he only said what needed to be said, as bluntly as possible, with as few words as possible to get his point across. That's just cool in my book
