Hi there, fellow friends of tabletop.

I’ve been addicted to rpgs, wargames and tabletop games since about 1984. Over the last years I have visited DakkaDakke once in a while and decided to open my own account recently. The nickname “Nightpaw” was earned in the good old times of Unreal Tournament when I used to take the role of the stealthy sniper for my team.

My first contact with tabletop games was Warhammer Fantasy Battles, but I never made more than some skirmish games. Back then I preferred Cry Havoc/Siege from Standard Games. My enthusiasm for tabletop grew when Rogue Trader hit the game stores and I started to collect Space Orc Raiders. When the two volumes of Realms of Chaos were published, my focus switched to chaos and has stayed there, though I also started collecting Imperial Army and Sisters of Battle. When the 1st edition of Space Hulk was published, I soon became addicted to that game and played it almost every day with my friends.
Though I had collected a wagonload of lead and white metal over the years, I never had been painting them properly until about 2009. Back then I made the decision never to play with unpainted armies and without proper terrain again.

Up to now I have painted about 4.000 points of CSM/CD, 2.000 points Sisters of Battle and 4.000 points Imperial Army. Furthermore I have created two gaming tables, the 1st one Martian desert with a big swamp and the 2nd one a ruined city containing tons of Hirst Arts tiles.
My current projects are some additions to my CSM army to be able to field a mighty Khorne Daemonkin force and more terrain for my urban gaming table. And having finished the formation of Cypher and his Fallen Champions I am seriously thinking about an army of fallen Dark Angels in black and red.

I am a casual player avoiding tournaments, playing about twice a month with friends. I would like to exchange with other 40K gamers worldwide about gaming, painting and making terrain.

Besides gaming I am a proud husband and father of twins (almost 6 years old and starting to play simple boardgames on my Space Hulk floorplans using my Space Crusade miniatures).

Alas, English is not my native tongue so please excuse my grammar.

Kind regards
N.

You think we are just going to take your word?
We need documented photographic evidence. Report to the Painting and Modelling section at once.

Welcome to dakka Nightpaw !

Stumbled upon your army shots, this is an impressive collection of old school renegades. I would definitely love seeing more or them, especially the dread, bloodletterhead marine, or that nurgle Cuhthulu thing !

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Thank you for your welcome. I'm gonna make a thread for my renegade warband documenting the status quo and the w.i.p. but I will have to take some better pictures first.
