So this is a pure walker blood angels list. Cassor rides in one of the empty pods, the other one is there to fill points and to let me drop in 4 dreads turn 1, instead of just 3. How fun do you think this would be to play with, how fun would it be to play against, and how competitive is it? Also, can you think of any ways to improve it?

Just because I'm not sure how fun it is to play against Warhounds if you aren't expecting them, you could maybe swap that for two Deredeos and a Leviathan (or some combination thereof).

They're really cool models, less intimidating for opponents (thought the Leviathan would still be a centrepiece), and it lets you stay pure Flesh Tearers.

Just a thought. All Dreadnought armies are cool though.

Might also make it easier to reconfigure your army for 1250 and 1500 pt games.

That sounds great. Unfortunately, I believe I can only take one of any of those since they're relics of the armoury.

Ah, apologies.

For some unfathomable reason I didn't think Deredeos were.

Are you set on pure blood angels? If not i would replace the warhound with something more friendly from the space wolves. Bjorn the fell-handed leading a company of the great wolf detachment which only requires 1hq and 2 elites with a max of 6 elites could bring plenty of punch in. Venerable dreadnoughts with 3++ on the front are nasty. This lets you fill as many dreadnoughts as you can afford. Alternately you can use the formation from the champions expansion (i forget the exact name, it was like honored ancients or something) that lets you take bjorn and 2 ven dreads and bjorn gives the dreads 5++ on all facings and rerolls to hit in CC.

That hadn't actually occurred to me. I do like the idea of running some space wolves. Hm, how about this?

More drop pods (deathstorm or regular)?

I also like Frag Cannons on Furiosos.

Other upgrades too could fill your points.

i found the formation. in curse of the wulfen there is a formation that lets you take 2-5 SW dreadnoughts of your choice plus an iron priest (techmarine with different wargear) and make them into one giant kill squad. As much as i love Bjorn, i have to admit he's pricey so this formation, called ancients of the fang, is a good alternative. If the squad numbers 3 or more you get rerolls to hit in CC and members within 6 of the iron priest get IWND. The squad also gives other SW units within 6 stubborn, but that isn't useful here. Also it dosen't spesify what type of iron priest, the HQ or the elite version, so you can have alot of kit options, including a thunderwolf, or servitors or cyberwolves.

What psykic powers would you go for with a list like this?

That sounds good, except for one problem. I want this to be pure walkers, or in the case of my updated list, pure dreads, and the iron priest will stick out like a sore thumb.

I would probably give the Libby dreads sanguinary as many of the powers are useful to them, such as quickening (the primaris) giving them fleet and +d3 initiative and attacks. Also there is the ability to give rage or a 5++, among other things.

Hunting with the 13th

Heresy, I know...But I recommend doing at least one roll on Malefic. Then, summon in a unit or two of horrors (or a herald), and you can fill that gap in the 'warm bodies' department of your army.

I always find Bjorn to be underwhelming for his points. Another option is to sub out Bjorn for an Iron Priest with some cyber wolves. Then, you can get a couple of repairs in, and have a fast-moving unit to spread out as needed. Of course, you would no longer be a pure walkers list...But fairly close to one.

the iron priest does stick out in the list, but not on the table, as he's in a unit of dreadnoughts. your call in the end though. i'd think having along a guy that can repair your guys would be very useful, but if your theme won't suffer a single exception i can understand. though an infantry model that is part of a vehicle squadron creates rules oddities... hmm. maybe RAR if you look at the rules closely it could yield an intriguing advantage.

I'm not sure how I would feel if my opponents told me I had to roll armour pen for an infantry model, would be quite funny though.
