Hello! I have a game tomorrow vs my friends white scars and was wondering what y'all thought of this list. Thankst!
Masque Detachment
Shadowseer, lvl 2, haywire 90
Solitaire 145
Troupe (6), Master has caress and haywire, rest have embrace, starweaver 218
Troupe (6), Master has caress and haywire, rest have embrace, starweaver 218
Troupe (5), Master has caress and haywire, rest have caress 140
Skyweavers (4), zephyrglaives, haywire cannons 260
Starweaver 70
Voidweaver 75
Crimson death formation
3 crimson hunters, exarch all lances 440
Allied Detachment
Autarch, bike, fusion, laser lance, banshee mask 110
scat bikes (3) 81
The list is 1847. The plan is for the autarch to go with the large bike unit and make is so they cant be overwatched. They grant him hit and run so he can use the lance more often. Its unfortunate though that they cant use their 4++ ability since he is in the unit and doesn't have it.
The seer goes with the caress 5 man in the FA weaver and uses the primaris to try and keep them alive.
I need the crimson death, imho as this list lacks in AA hard and the formation is so good!

At the very least, you need to drop the Embraces for Kisses. They cost the same, but the Kisses work every turn, not just on the turn they charge.

I was thinking that with him and run I could break combat and use them more often.
You think the 4 regular instant death hits are that good?

I think the embrace is really good.
Here is an edited list:
Death Jester 60
Troupe (6), Master has caress and haywire, rest have embrace, starweaver 218
Troupe (6), Master has caress and haywire, rest have embrace, starweaver 218
Troupe (6), Master has caress and haywire, rest have caress, star weaver 233
Skyweavers (2), glaives, haywire 130
Skyweavers (2), glaives, haywire 130
Void Weaver, prismatic 80
Crimson death formation
3 crimson hunters, exarch all lances 440
CaD Detachment
Autarch, bike, fusion 95
scat bikes (3) 81
scat bikes (3) 81
scat bikes (3) 81
1847
If we didn't play itc lists I could add some more formations but the three detachment limit is hard for harlies. Automatically Appended Next Post: I don't love the lone death jester but I figured he could hid and walk out to take some p0t shots when the time is right!

I had a similar thought while typing it @Icelord: The problem with the Embrace is that in order to get HoW, the model has to reach B2B. So you end up paying the points on the whole unit and inevitably a few models don't make it there. The Kiss works whether you reach B2B or just pile-in. And they work on the enemy's turn before you hit and run. So what is better for 25pts: 2, maybe 3 D3 HoW, or 10 AP2 attacks over 2 turns? If you really, really want Embraces, that's fine, but don't expect all of them to actually work. Maybe do 3 & 2? Keep the Embraces up front for the HoW and the Kisses in back to deliver the punch. -

This has been a good Starweaver group to me so far:
Troupe [Starweaver]
2x Player [Harlequin's Kiss, Shuriken Pistol]
2x Player [Harlequin's Caress, Shuriken Pistol]
Troupe Master [Harlequin's Caress, Shuriken Pistol]
I left room for a Death Jester or Shadow Seer, as they can jump out and go into terrain to do their thing, while the rest go and do something else.
Or you can put in one more Player blank or with an Embrace to eat up the overwatch.
And with the Death Masque set being out now, they have a replacement Death Jester, for an extra 10 points it gains Shrouded. Gives him a little bit more protection while hiding in terrain.

I keep trying, but they get obliterated quickly.
Tomorrow I am trying:
Troupe
2x Player [Harlequin's Kiss, Shuriken Pistol]
3x Player [Harlequin's Caress, Shuriken Pistol]
1x Player [Harlequin's Embrace, Shuriken Pistol]
Troupe Master [Harlequin's Caress, Shuriken Pistol, The Starmist Raiment]
I also have an odd list that I want to try. It has a larger group with a few base players in the group like above, but they start behind an Aegis Defense Line with Quad gun for a touch of anti air. But that is more of a tailored list for a larger event where I know people will have aircraft and other deepstriking units.
Getting another Starweavers is in the future for me though.

I know this is a week or so old, but I need to talk about it.
Harlequins have 3 main weapons, each are great at 1 thing, they are very specialized.
Kiss: This is really good for MC or other Multi wound models that need to die.
1 attack that can be ID could be good, having 1 unit or 2 or 3 of these isnt a bad idea if you know there will be a very important MC that needs to die.
Caress: This is the more important Weapon, you should always have EVERY troupe Master with this AND at least 4-5 more Players. These are the anti everything Armor 2/3+
To hit rolls that can Auto wounds at AP2... YES PLEASE
Embrace: The Main Horde killer, just having extra attacks is amazing, 1 unit of 3-4 will almost always be enough. There is a large Orc, Nid, IG blob? Send the unit of Embraces out after them. 3D3 is an additional 4.5 Hits and at S6 that basically 4 more wounds before you even attack.
So you need to either make a TAC list with 4 units of Caress, 1 Unit of each Kiss/Embrace and pick how many of each, or if you know 90% of everything is Marine Players then just load up on Caress, they will just shred into them.
If you are fighting FnP Bike Deathstars, Kisses might be better, breaks armor and no FnP
You have many options to tailor Harlequins, they always have a answer for something, with Loads of Haywire on the side.

To be fair, kitting them out relies heavily on your meta and what you face the most.
I doubt you will see any harlequin players running the same setup as each other or even agreeing on the best weapons.
Amish gave a good weapon summary above.
IMO though I rarely mix weapons.
I tend to run units kitted for a sole purpose each.
I do find the solitare to be either a huge hit or miss character though.
He will draw a ton of fire and die through saves.
Even a tac squad rapid firing will toast him.
It's weighing up the pros and cons of a 145 point distraction that's pretty easy to remove.

Yes I have seen a ton of debate on the weapons. I was thinking of trying 1 troupe with embrace (caress on master) and 2 units all caress.
I have had great luck with he solitaire cause of shrouded in the formation

Don't get me wrong, the solitare can be godly in games.
But some match ups really do nothing for him and he is either forced to get tarpitted to kill pointless stuff, or to avoid certain units.
Tau would be a huge issue for harlequins anyway, but more so the solitare as he will never see combat.
I've had plenty of games with mine where he rips through units and characters and earns 2-3 times his points back.
But I've also had games with wolfstars where I need to avoid more units until I manage to break them down a bit first.
Either way, I've found no middle ground with him.
Either slaughters everything or dies miserably.
Weapons are an odd one though.
I would avoid the lovely AP2 pistol however.
The wounds from that mixed with the charge result in a wiped out unit straight away, which you don't want.
You need to cause enough damage to ensure the return attacks do nothing, but can't wipe the unit out.
Otherwise the clowns stand there facing a turn of shooting before doing anything again.
I've had it several times where I've bolted into combat to avoid being shot, only to wipe out a unit and get shot at regardless.
While they are not top tier, they are a solid army.
They are however paper thin and a single mistake can cost you a unit or the game.
Amazingly fun to play though and you can scare opponents to death with the speed and damage they throw out time and time again.

Tried my version of the 1850 pure list based on the load out I gave above in three weavers, a 2 voidweaver squad, two medium sized Skyweavers and the Hero's Path formation in a three round event.
I held my own, but still lost, against a Craftworld Eldar jetbike/Warp Spider/W.Knight list.
Got completely smashed by Orks and their 7 trukks full of 10 boys each + some artillery.
And got a bye for final round.

Well that's disheartening lol
Match ups are huge for odd armies like harlies so I am not surprised. I think they can been good but unfortunately (and probably obviously) adding in CWE or DE allies would help them a ton.

As both an Eldar player and a Daemon player, I cannot help comparing Harlies to Daemonettes. Both are T3, 5++, WS5 and need to roll 6's (whether for Rending, Kiss, Caress, etc). Harlies are better on paper due to more attacks, Furious charge and the flip belt. The problem is that they cost twice as much. 1 min Troupe unit of 5 with no upgrades at all cost the same as 10 Daemonettes with a Character upgrade. 'Nettes might make it to combat, those 5 Harlies never will. So we can safely say the Deamonettes are more durable based on their numbers. Also by having twice as many 'Nettes, the number of attacks is goes in favor of them, not the Harlies. Yet when is the last time you saw a purely Daemonette army in a competitive setting? Probably never. Harlies are not meant to be a competitive stand-alone army. They are meant to supplement Eldar & Dark Eldar. Or just be taken for fun. I would love to get a full Harlie army to work, but they just die -

Galef I do totally agree with you about they needing some help and I am trying to make them competitive to the degree of playing and not getting rocked every game. I don't plan to take them to a GT or anything.
I have played a few games with them so far (mostly trying to paint those damned checkers!) and have been successful. I don't plan to fight tau or elder much with them lol
I felt like my add on of elder obviously made the army stronger however. The additional shooting/scoring would be sweet and they help a ton with flyers.

For the Diamonds, try this trick: http://www.the-vanus-temple.com/harlequin-diamonds-tutorial/
I used the sticker/shape cutters combo with regular paint as well.
