I was thinking about dudes I could use as supplementary (and expendable) marines for my DW army (so far consisting of 9 models, with the 10th flying in from Australia), and so I started thinking of chapters thatI could usefor that. Blood Ravens was my first thought, but then I remembered MWG's own chapter, modeled after their own colour scheme. And so, naturally, I wondered if Dakka had a representative chapter, or xenos faction.

Is there one?
If there is not, what would its colours be?
What traits would the chapter have?
Would the 4chan Chapter Creation tables be of any help?

The Dakka Dakka chapter has the most unpredictable geneseed of all space marine chapters. Every single member of the chapter has different goals and they constantly argue with each other.

Some DakkaDakka space marines are so messed up that they dress up as Xenos and fall into a ferral state, other less crazy Dakka Marines merely decerate their armour with whatever they want. Despite this fracture within the chapter they all keep their base colours of black, gold and orange.

That's something to start with, anyone want to contribute?

(Oh, they also have an insanely handsome captain within the ranks who has a smiley face stamped onto the front of his helmet, he is known as "Happy Face")

The Dakka Chapter's hero is Chapter Master Yakface. His deeds of legend are the slaying of the terrible Forum Trolls, and ebforcing order on the Dakkanaughts.

Despite Yakface's triumphs over the lowly trolls, the Dark Lord Ward continues to barrage the chapter with virus' that cause the Dakkanaughts to callapse in a rage induced fit. These virus' are often administered by literature diguised to bring balance to the Galaxy but often cast it into turmoil.

The geneseed of the Sons of Dakka includes two deviations: overdeveloped Catalepsean Node and Omophagea completely missing.

Chapter history deserves a mention of the great cabinet war.

Chapter home world, a land stalked by feral trolls always seeking to invade the land calimed by the dakka marines, fighting ceaselessly but never able to destroy them.

To earn the right of captain (aka mod) one must slay a lightly cheif troll.

The ceremonial weapon of a Mod-Captain, much like how many Chaplains in normal Chapters carry Crozius Arcanums, is the Banhammer. Anyone struck by a Banhammer feels immense shame and is removed from the battlefield.

Presumably in the Chapter heraldry. Also, if you paint some High Gothic words on your Rhino, they should be in orange.

Only the inner ring of the first company of the Dakkanaughts know he is not butter, all other Dakkanaughts either do not know this or simply can't believe he is not butter.

And that Blood Angels are so bad, the DakkaDakka Chapter refuses to sully their honour and help them.

Oh! They are heavy weapon specialists so all formations will always have MOAR dakka than any other chapter.

Chapter Traits:

- One of few space marine chapters that can understand Ork language and even "negotiate" the head kicking about to happen. The Orks are always willing to "negotiate" because it is comedy gold to them plus all the shooting they are about to receive is not as much fun. They are able to have Orks as Allies.

- They have a love/hate relationship with the Mechanicus: they always have good ideas of how their toys of war should be made but the manufacturer steadfastly refuses to change. There is a chance that units in reserve may switch to a different unit due to the Mechanicus "mistakenly" sending the wrong equipment.

- They willingly receive marines from other chapters that could not be sustained any longer but they must vow an undying hatred for the "General Weaponfactorer" that has been assigned to supply them or "GW" for short. When attacking any unit that has Mechanicus trained personnel in it they gain the special rule "Hatred".

- "I'll be back" special rule: When any special character is "killed" put the model on it's side. Roll a die 6 and any role of 4+ the model is back and at full health. No matter how sure you were that you would never see this person again, even if they claimed high and low they were going to be gone forever... they mysteriously come back.

YES!

Also dakka marines sternly refuse to entertain any "necromancy" or reanimation, therefore any model that would be left in the game by such a rule is removed.

I really dig that second scheme.

*Edit* Chapter specialties/tactics should be the use of tactical strawmen.

"Strawman" is a special mark of Tactical Dakkanought Armour.
