So I've heard Infinity has gone through a bit of an upgrade in size for ease of painting. Which minis from each faction are new enough to be in the new scale? I really can't stand minis in the same army feeling like they are different scale.

Just await flock of people who will tell you that this is actually more realistc, since, in real life, not everyone is same height.
But I do agree, some older models look quite silly compared to newer ones. Especially if it's HI.
It's the reason why I tend to avoid older sculpts and await for resculpts.

It's not that it's more realistic. It's just a way to justify it if you feel like mixing sculpt generations and need the justification because of your own need for such. I've got Haqqislam models from every generation of the game. The only time the shift in scale has bothered me at all has been the new Jannisaries, and that's mostly because they decided to change the scale after the redid the scale for N3. The change between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd edition Jannisaries are just typical design changes through getting better at sculpting. The change between the 3rd edition HMG and box is a hot mess that shouldn't have happened. Luckily it was super easy to convert. But in a typical game I'll have gigantor 1st edition Ghulam beside slender early 2nd edition Hassassins beside midget late second edition Sekban beside huge 3rd edition Kum and I really just don't care.

Basically this. I have a new boarding shotgun Spetsnaz and he may as well be a heroic-scale version of my French paratroopers because he's just so flipping big.
Naturally I like to pretend he was a hulking Siberian logger before joining the military.

Zatsuku, you might do better asking about specific minis that you are considering.

100% agree with this. Have got miniatures from across the range of eras, have them on the tabletop at once and they look absolutely fine.
Most importantly I think the proportions are the important things - difference in proportion look more 'wrong' than difference in scale. With a few exceptions, most of the Infinity line look good together.
I would have more of a concern over which are the later releases, as the sculpting and detail has definitely improved. Am actually wondering if it is going too far with some of them, I feel like I need a stiff drink and prepare myself psychologically before sitting down to start with some of the new sculpts.

But that's the thing the differing scale affects the proportions. They're steadily getting a tad taller and longer-limbed (Nevermind the increasing amount of detail. I liked what you had to say about the stiff drink and mental preparation, I feel that on a spiritual level). I mean, taking a handful of newer and older releases and putting them into an army together seems all well and fine in theory but just line up the 3 basic Ghulam infantry from Red Veil and the ones from the starter set and you'll find they may as well be from two different lines of miniatures (Which bothers me because I got the Haqq starter set about 4 months before Red Veil was even a thing) And then subsequently released very quickly). I wish it was a rarer case than it is but they are definitely scaling all the things up and adjusting the proportions appropriately.
