Been Around the Block

Does anyone know what happened to the Chaos Knight Titan on forge world? Its completely gone. I was planning on using one for the next war my game store is holding, but its not there. If all else fails would it be ok to use one of the GW titans as a proxy for a lord of skulls rules in the KDK book (with appropriate conversions ofcourse)? Just running it by you guys before I run it with my guys. Anyway I have been playing many battles recently and Chaos always seems outmachted it seems. Thanks.
Also I forgot to mention that I'm running an Emperors Children/Slaanesh themed army. So that's why I'm wondering whether I should use the knight titan model instead of the lord of skulls and if its a valid proxy. THANKS AGAIN.

You mean this Chaos Knight Titan? https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Chaos-Knight
In answer to your second question, why proxy a lord of skulls? Just use the regular knight to proxy for a chaos one. I bought an Imperial knight and just converted it to make a chaos knight. The problem for proxying for a lord of skulls is that even with a suitably chaos knight you are still missing treds.

Thanks for the link dude! One of the main reasons why I ask is because in the lord of skulls unit entry it says walker.

Depends who you ask, they have both been refered to as imperial knight titans and smaller versions of titans.
The knight nobles see themselves as titan walkers whilst the Adeptus Mechanicus does not believe they are true titans.

Find one reference in official lore, from any source, that calls them Knight Titans. They're often referred to as suits or walkers, perhaps described as "titanic" but never as Titans.

They are referred to as titans on the front of the box they come in.

Yes, on the back, in one corner, in small print. I'm pretty sure that's either a mistake or a deliberate attempt to troll. I'm also pretty sure that packaging isn't canon (and it isn't repeated in the updated kit, further reinforcing the theory it was an error.)
EDIT
You're right, it was on the front at some point..
But the current box as found on the GW site looks like this..
So almost certainly an error they've corrected.

I'm quite sure I've seen the term Knight Titan before in a couple of the old fluff pieces. Never as a model release back in the old Epic days though. The most important question here...who freakin' cares?

As this is the nth time this discussion has come up (no, not always at my instigation) the answers are
- no, you haven't, even all the way back to Epic they were never Titans,
and
- enough people to fairly regularly have this conversation.
But I was only half serious, there was a poster, whose username escapes me, who would vehemently and forcefully correct anyone who called them Knight Titans. I think they even had it in their sig at one point.
For all that though, I never saw a compelling argument that he was wrong, and I still haven't
Just seems my (admittedly obscure) reference went over everyone's head.

Have you seen the Lord of Skulls? Specifically, the unit entry itself. It's a walker, but it's more a "walker." It can't stomp like a superheavy walker, and it thunderblitzes like a superheavy tank. Also it's twice the cost of a knight and not very good. Just use a regular knight as a chaos knight. It'll look better as a proxy and the rules are actually good.
