Does the Dark Eldar in question have a specific build, or are there multiple DE players with different builds?

Generally DE have trouble with AV spam. They do have plenty of ways to deal with strong AV, but if you can spam some Rhinos or Drop Pods (it's really sad that BAs can't get Gladuis) that you should be able to kill their anti-AV units pretty quick without losing too many of your vehicle.

Usually DE have some Venom spam, so you need ways to get close. Dark Eldar DO NOT LIKE to be Alpha Struck. If you can manage 5-6 Drop Pods with lots of Dakka inside (and Heavy Flamers) than you should be gold.

DE also have trouble against Flyers, especially since both of their Flyers are more adept are killing ground targets. So Storm Ravens are never a bad idea vs DE

As a dark eldar (cabal) player multi drop pods with flamers are a right pain. In general for me anything with a flamer becomes target number 1 as the no escape rule really really hurts, even hand flamers can do a lot of damage to the warriors.

And as said we do not like being alpha striked and our anti tank isnt all that, multipul rhinos with flamers in them are nasty as outside of haywire scourges it will take more than one squad to kill a rhino (at least it dose with me) combine rhinos with podded flamers/other to kill our few heavy vehicals (av11 is heavy lol) and every thing else dies to basic bolters. Just be sure to remove cover as that is what most de depend on to survive.

Exactly. Outside of Haywire blaster Scourges (which will be obliterated by Drop-pod heavy flamers), there are no DE units that can kill reliably a Rhino in 1 go. A unit of Trueborn with Blasters or even a Dark Lance Ravager can do it, but not on average and they cost WAAAAY more than the Rhino. With all the Poison shooting, Marines go down quickly to rate-or-fire, but only if the DE play can shoot at them.

So by putting every unit you have in transports (Rhinos & Drop Pods specifically) you can effectively ignore half of the DE players shooting, while making the other half points inefficient for the DE player since he'll have to dedicate multiple units to open up those Rhinos.

If the DE are null deploying, you can potentially find your Alpha Strike being wasted. Just a note of precaution.

If it's just DE without allies, then vehicle spam is definitely the way to go. They just don't have the anti-armor output.

Are they using Covens units?
If so, a grotesquerie can rip through rhinos pretty fast. same with a DA and CTC

True, but Space Marines can field more tanks than any of the formations can handle.

The formation by themselves yes, but a couple scourge squads, or lance ravagers, or blasterborn squads along with one of those will let you rip through quite a few razorbacks/rhino's pretty quickly.
Still a poor matchup for the DE, but is winnable.
