I'm recently returned to 40k after being away for a few editions and the way invisibility works has changed quite a lot. I know i'm facing a SM player in a few days for a 2000pts friendly who's trying out a 3 man librarian conclave, chapter master and 4 grav centurions mounted in a land raider crusader.
I'm not looking to tailor a list but for everyone's sake want it to be competitive to be interesting.

I'm running a joint cult-mech and skitarii force and already have enough arc weapons to take out a land raider turn 1 with ease because the meta is vehicle heavy.

My current plan is to try out a formation that's new to me - the cohort cybernetica with techpreist dominus, 2 datasmiths and 4 kastellens. Upgrading the kastellens to have the T-L and and carapace mounted heavy phosphor blasters, giving the tech preist the autocadeus of arkenland so the whole unit has it will not die and a data smith the raiment of the technomartyr so snapshots are BS 2 thanks to cognis special rule.

By my reckoning this should be enough of a deathstar alone but i also plan on fielding a unit of kataphron destroyers with heavy grav cannons, in a perfect world the ap3 phosphor weapons of the robots would kill the librarians providing invisibility and grav cannons will make light work of the centurions.

There's also a unit of skitarii vanguad with 3 plasma calivers just incase (this is the warlords unit for preferred enemy to avoid gets hot).

It sounds like overkill but the idea is to focus on the deathstar first and hopefully take it out turn 2/3 then turning the units to the rest of the force.

I predominantly just wanted to check giving the cognis weapons to the kastellens would give me BS2 against invisibility?
Theoretically it doubles the hits which combined with T-L weapons and the canticles allowing me to re-roll 1's and 2's for 2 turns.

I am however debating if i should instead put the techpriest with the cognis relic into a larger unit of grav kataphrons instead?

He can't cast while embarked. Kill the lr, and then massacre his squad before he can cast.

If you're playing in a meta where Conclave deathstars are a thing it's hard to call splashing a Culexis 'tailoring'.

Just take a Culexus. Simpliest way to neturalize the this deathstar.

Also, try your best to use your own grav to neturalize the LandRaider onfirst turn, you don'tneed to HP it to Death, just pray for a single 6 the LR will be wasted, and the deathstar will be forced to walk on foot. From then on, unless the Libby got a "teleport type" powers, you can have a easier time avoiding them due to their only weapons are at most 24 inches.

Am I missing something here? The CM can ofc join either unit but how do the Librarians and Cents go together?

LIbrarians are also Independant Characters
