Welp, guess I was right . Kinda wish daemon magnus showed up though. The weird crystal tower ships are cool tho.

Wow, a Silver Tower is much larger than I would have though.

I was kind of hoping once the CSM book was redone that GW would grant Chaos the Silver Towers as their answer to Knights and other mega units.

According to Sad Panda, plastic Ahriman will be released before daemon primarch Magnus. Ahriman is a HH model and part of the next HH board game - SP also posted the game will be released in fall 2016 but gave no specific month.

That's all the info we have at the moment.

GW seem to have changed their attitude a bit and tease at least two weeks in advance as we can see by this and the GSC video. Warzone Fenris II could be anytime from early October to late December.

What is this dual kit? You mean the board game?

Edit: 'Frosty' was a joke, 'GW and advertisement.... hell freezes over'

ya, the dual kit is the new starter box/game for HH, wolves and tsons.

Or did that rumor change?

That is still valid. A boardgame. Thousand Sons vs Space Wolves, Sisters of Silence and Adeptus Custodes, all plastic miniatures, from GW.

Warzone Fenris I - Curse of the Wulfen (GW) ending

- Spoiler -

Robbie MacNiven

War Zone Fenris - the Situation So Far

For those of you who haven’t yet purchased either the novel or the beautifully illustrated rules/narrative package (and I really recommend you do, they’re amazing), massive spoilers under the cut.

The Wulfen have started randomly reappearing from the warp across the Imperium. This frequently coincides with massive daemonic incursions.

The Space Wolves rush to collect the Wulfen before the Imperium discovers them, however the Dark Angels stumble upon them. Both they and the Grey Knights set out to investigate.

There is a huge outbreak of daemonic invasions in the Fenris system - although Fenris itself isn’t attacked, its moon as well as the worlds of Midgardia and Frostheim, and Frostheim’s moon Svellgard, are overrun. The Alpha Legion seizes Morkai’s Keep on Frostheim.

The Space Wolves rush back to reclaim the Fenris System. The first Great Companies back are those of Grimnar, Egil Iron Wolf, Harald Deathwolf and Sven Bloodhowl. Krom Dragongaze is already defending the Fang. Ragnar Blackmane and Bran Redmaw are inbound.

Grimnar and Egil attack the daemons on Midgardia but their assault stalls and Grimnar is lost during a subterranean cave-in fighting four Daemon Princes.

Sven drives the daemons back on Svellgard.

Harald recaptures Morkai’s Keep from the Alpha Legion.

Krom leaves Fenris for its moon to assist the Grey Knights, who have just arrived. They manage to foil a Tzeentch plot to frame the Wolves as traitors in front of the rest of the Imperium.

Just as it seems as though the daemons are being defeated a crusade fleet of 13 Space Marine Chapters arrives, led by the Dark Angels.

Manipulated by the Changeling, they open fire across the Fenris system…

Stay tuned for the sequel!

Legacy of the Russ (by Robbie MacNiven) ending

- Spoiler -

Fang_Guard23 - Bolter&Chainsword

1) Ragnar and company enter onto the Rock, Stern notices the changing and Azrael with the guest follow it down into the vaults where the unforgiving are hidden.

2) Some one is coming, likely Magnus but it could be anyone.

3) Great wolf still not found

4) Bran redmaw turned the tide at the battle of Svellgard, all warp rifts closed

5) Changling defeated and ran away.

6) Crusade fleet pulled back to systems edge, Iron-Captain mad that he has to do so.

7) Wolves return to Fenris, Kjarl Grimblood is on his way back to the system, the wolves are regrouping and redeploying some warriors to garrison the World Wolfs Lair on Svellgard.

8) Harald Deathwolf is pushing the notion that the wolves should find a way to artificially restrain the Canis Helix

That all seems plausible but super lame, especially the whole "artificially restraining the Canis Helix" thing, considering the 1kS sacrificed an enormous amount of men and materiel to prevent exactly that outcome in the Battle of the Fang.

The whole wrap up section is kind of "meh," with nothing really changing unless the Space Wolves discover that the BA are all secret heretics when they wander down into the vaults.

I don't need them to advance the plot, but it would be nice to have a warzone campaign end in something other than the status quo ante.

The misbegotten result of a regrettable threesome between two orky gods and one multi-use utensil.

Robbie MacNiven - B&C
Anyone give details on what the DA did?

Spoiler

Azrael allows Stern and Blackmane to enter the depths of the Rock with him as they pursue the Changeling. They team up to try and banish it, then Azrael orders the Crusade fleet to pull back to the edge of the system while everyone cools off a bit and takes stock of the situation.

The Watchers in the Dark stop the Changeling from releasing the Fallen. It was probably my favourite little scene in the book

The Crusade fleet was divided in two - the Ultramarines, Iron Hands and a detachment of Shadow Haunters headed to Svellgard and Frostheim, while the remaining Chapters (Dark Angels, Doom Griffons, Howling Griffons, Red Consuls, Guardians of the Covenant, the rest of the Shadow Haunters and the five other unspecified Chapters involved) held positions above Midgardian.

My first thought is that it sees kind of risky to have the Chapter homes of 2 Chapters in the same place. Just asking for something really bad to happen.
Secondly, is there a chance for a third book that will see the manifestation of Demon Prince Magnus and and the Return of the Lion and/or Russ?
Clearly Primarchs sell as evidenced by the success of 30K, and with most of the mystery of them kind of out of the bag now, and with what appears to be a more open-minded and progressive GW creative team, now would appear to be the right time to start selling $100+ dollar Primarchs and Demon Princes to the 40K crowd.

The Primarchs will return in 40k according to our most reliable sources - who havent been wrong for at least two years. Plastic Magnus will be first, in his 40k daemon form, in late 2016 or early 2017.

Wait, I know Grimnar is supposed to be super bad ass, but fighting four daemon princes simultaneously? I'm not up to speed on how strong a DP is supposed to be in the fluff but that seems like hogwash to me. How does that make sense?

Because he has stupid levels of plot armor. He shouldn't be able to. But he's a SM and a Wolflord. Being able to topple Abbadon might be possible for him, but 4 DPs should be impossible. He's rolling into Mary Sue town to have a drink with Draigo.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

So was the Chaos plan to have the wider Imperium turn on the wolves by exposing the Wulfen secret? Or expose the Dark angels? A distraction so there are less forces at Cadia for the 13th black crusade? All of the above? Might have to get caught up on this particular story line.

Oh and silver tower deep striking fortifications? A guy can dream right?

Grimnar, Ulrik, and his entire first company + Wulfen + Egils terminators

fought 4 deamon princes and hordes of deamons.

Non of the deamon princes died, it was a ploy to get grimnar and his force down there, open warp rifts and leave, causing the cavern to destabilize and collapse.

AS of the end of the legacy of russ series, Grimnar is still missing as are the living member of the assault force.

They've found chunks of grimnars armor so far.

so people getting perturbed about strenght levels of grimnar obviously havent read the books.
