30% only on steam I'm guessing

Considering it's a digital code, yeah?

I don't see many people buying physical PC games if they know they need to involve Steam.

You can buy digital codes from retailers like GmG or Amazon. I got my total war code from Amazon.

Right, but aren't those codes just things you enter into Steam?

I don't PC game much anymore, so not hip to the stuff anymore beyond knowing that Steam is still ridiculously dug in like a tick...

You still need steam, my Total war was about 10 pounds cheaper than the steam version.

The left hand one might have a spear too, quite hard to see.

I am a bit confused. The Original Poster didn't want to have this leaked out, but he made the post and put the pic in. Then he wanted it out?

Is he saying his friend hacked or used his Dakka account to post the pic? If so, the Original Poster could have just deleted the pic and a Mod wouldn't have to delete it and then undelete it.

So I am not sure what is going on.

Also since it's a November date that means it comes out in October? Ohhh does this mean no Genestealer Cult codex coming out in November with such a big release like this?

Also if Novembers issue is out already that means October issues is ready, so is December and January, February issues made as well?

The guy complaining and the OP are not the same person and have different usernames. Heck, the OP might not even be the person who leaked it but rather saw the image elsewhere and just posted the scoop on dakka. In any case, the image is back so who should yesterday's drama matter?

Well excuse me for not being able to see them in the picture. I see three guys with giant swords, and another with a Roman-style standard.

Kan located the one covered up by the video game thing, so I see that now, but most of them in that pic have swords.

A little unrelated, but it's something I've been wondering.

I know it's all under the same roof, but since BaC it's seemed kind of odd that GW is releasing basically the same thing FW is, except plastic and WAY cheaper.

Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic about it, but it seems like every box set they release means less people are going to be buying these armor marks and terminators from FW.

Are there people who are willing to pay a lot more for a small uptick in quality? Does GW not care because money is money, whether it's coming from FW or GW sales?

Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way, but somebody help me out.

Less people will be buying those things from FW, but the idea probably is to get more people buying heresy stuff, so then they'll go to Forge World for the vehicles, characters, legion specific units, weapons etc. So they might lose sales on the basic stuff that's now in plastic, but probably gain sales in everything else.

I thought the OP took the pic but then asked the mod to take it down.

So the guy who took the pic says that's not Bjorn? Despite it being a big nasty SW with a claw on Prospero? That's gotta be bjorn.

Besides the add on upgrade packs and the like, there is also the fact that in large volumes, the profit margin on plastic is higher then resin. So even if they sell the same number of kits, they make more money.

Plastic has a higher up-front cost, but less cost per mini. So for bulk things like basic troops, it makes a lot of sense.

And the similarity to old artwork has had people saying for quite a while that the TS character has got to be Ahriman, but there's also been a lot of speculation that he's just a TS librarian who used the Ahriman artwork as a basis. Either character could go either way, and I think that's probably deliberate, to give a more "generic" option that people can use to stand in for these two extremely popular characters, particularly if the official FW versions are a ways off. Heck, people have been saying that the Custodes with the bare head looks a lot like Valdor, but could also be a generic Custodes officer who looks the part.

Bjorn didn't have a claw on Prospero. He had an axe. Prospero is where he lost his arm that he later replaced with a claw (in a short story, can't remember the name).

So, this Bjorn that everyone's talking about. Is that the marine that eventually becomes the dreadnought?

Not just a marine that becomes a dreadnought. The most manly marine to become a dreadnought.

One of the cooler characters in 40k, imo.
