Hi i am going to an ITC tournament early next year and want to bring my KDK army,
alas i have found out KDK isn't quite competitive enough, and though i am in it for the games i would hate to get tabled 5 games in a row,
therefor i have made these 2 lists.
I will break down the thought behind them beneath the list
hoping to get some feedback from all you

List 1

2 X Chaos Lord [Axe of Khorne, Chaos Bike, Lightning Claw, Melta Bombs, Power Armour, Sigil of Corruption]


Chaos Cultists [7x Cultists]

So the idea is
Join Chaos lord and 2 sorcerers to a bike squad X 2
these will be my mini deathstars, i am a little in doubt in regards to the Psychic powers but i am guessing Telepathy and Biomancy on each squad.
So the tactic would be to use the hounds to grab obj. in middle play field, Cultist in home, i would use mauler and soulgrinder as defence while my 2 bike squads go in the offence...

Is this way off ??

So the idea in this list is to put the whole cabal plus the lord in the flesh hound unit, this will be my deathstar thing, the powers for the psychers will be from telepathy + biomancy + Heretech
the deathstar will roam around wreaking havock, while the Kytan wil hold midfield with bikes and cultists and soulgrinder will hold homefield.

so what do you guys say ?

I like both, to be honest im not sure gore pack is really worth the price because it gives easy KP and the units arent that resistant. Here is my list, which really looks like your. However, I find summoning a better way to avoid giving away KP and to control objectifs. Just like your, sorcerers and lord join flesh hounds or they can also split late game. Fateweaver chills in the air, summon and cast strenght D shot. Herald cast grimoire on flesh hounds, which gives them 3++ saves... With cursed earth or santuary you can easily keep them 2++ with fnp 4+ / eternel warrior ( thanks to endurance ). Moreover, you can also cast invisibility on them or on herald s squad just to protect the grimoire. Nurglings come from DS and claim obj. It really worked well in tournament. Good luck man

nice list

my only problem is, i have no bloodcrusher, no horrors no nurglings no fateweaver and no herald
well i like the gorepack cause it gives the bikes move through cover which tends to help me on the board i am currently on my 16th set off dice cause i throw away when they fail me for the 3rd time in a row

i dont mind letting my dogs do a little dying for tying up, super shooters until some off my hardhitters get across the board, i need the BT for ekstra attacks or summoning.

what powers psychic powers would you bring in the 2 lists i put up ?

Telepathy and biomancy are a most, however you should consider fulmination. The number 5 allows you to move the unit 18'' and number 6 allows you to switch pysker s squad with another unit, which can be REALLY good when you want to charge something too far or leave a loooooonnnng fight

yeah only problem is ITC nerfed soulswitch :(
they made it no charge after soulswitch, but could still use it in a bind, soulswitch with kytan

yeah i know but wasnt sure if you play itc or not haha Then go with telepathy / biomancy

was playing with the thought on list 2 to use heretech on one sorcerer to boost kytan, AV 14 super heavy could be fun if they field super heavy, use 1 of their weapons

I suggest switching axe of khorne for lightning claws for three reasons.

1. It's cheaper
2. Anything you'd need the ap 2 against you are probably using pf anyway.
3. Shred is super useful

I might be wrong but I'm putting a near exact list together and was wondering the thinking on your weapons.

My comment applies to you as well but involves you switching axe of khorne to pf. Was a general lord load out comment that applies to both of you, his text was just cleaner to quote. Thanks for getting a little butt hurt though xD, just makes me want to not comment again.

well wasn't really butt hurt, just think its easier for both him and me if comments are in the post one posted but no worries. mine was also a general comment, if you look beyond your own post you can see you are not the only one commenting on a alexes list.
Well as i see it the one thing the army misses, are offensive AP2 mostly for centurions, defensive AP2 there is in abundance from mauler and Soulgrinder and Kytan
