If memory serves the magewraith throne and balewind vortex were originally £25 for the pair. Now they are £10 each. That's good.
Edit it was £23 and the magewraith throne has lost the giant skulls it was sitting on. Not so good.

The fluff for those reactors is so, so bad... GW, blood doesn't burn well! Gorgeous model, though. If I go through with that forge world table I'll grab one or three.
What's the price on them?

That's why it's mixed with promethium, Verv...

Probably some schtick about the "blessing of martyrs in the promethium makes the generators run better" or something.

Gorgeous model, though. If I go through with that forge world table I'll grab one or three.

$40 USD for 2.

These just got posted on Atia's blog, naming one "Garro" as the originator:

...I'manidiot. But you knew that already.
Hm. $20 each, basically? Quite reasonable. Would work nicely paired with the Manufactorum board and some Skitarii.

How or why? No flippin' clue. For all I know these Haemothrope Reactors are used to power the Imperial's equivalent to Facebook.

Does anybody know how many fortifications there currently are? Curious if there might be new fortifications in the book.

As of right now, there are 21 Fortifications. That 29 count in the photo includes Fortification Networks as well and I can't find my copy of Stronghold Assault right now to factor those in, but I can tell you that with the Tau Empire networks from Kauyon?

That 21 count becomes 23.

Wall of Martyrs Imperial Defense Network
Void Relay Network

Plus individual 14 fortifications listed.

Alright, so the final count is then 26 right now.
Add another Fortification for the Haemothrope Reactors(my initial count includes the Munitorum Armoured Containers, which are likely to be published in this new book as well) and you're at 27 which means the last 2 are probably new Fortification Networks.

There's probably a network for the haemothrope given how they added a spot on the model to connect a pipe to. So could the last one be some crazy huge network combining just about everything maybe?

Note:
I forgot about the Plasma Obliterator!

So the base count is 27, which means 28 with the Haemothrope Reactors and leaves an opening for one new Fortification Network or something similar.

I did, but I also included a few items which technically aren't Fortifications at the moment which seemingly has thrown my count wonky or I messed up somewhere.

Here's the list I've compiled as of now
1
  • Aegis Defense Line

  • 2
  • Imperial Bastion

  • 3
  • Imperial Strongpoint(Fortification Network)

  • 4
  • Honoured Imperium

  • 5
  • Wall of Martyrs Imperial Defense Line

  • 6
  • Wall of Martyrs Imperial Defense Emplacement

  • 7
  • Wall of Martyrs Imperial Bunker

  • 8
  • Wall of Martyrs Firestorm Redoubt

  • 9
  • Wall of Martyrs Vengeance Weapon Battery

  • 10
  • Wall of Martyrs Imperial Defense Network(Fortification Network)

  • 11
  • Promethium Relay Pipes

  • 12
  • Void Shield Generator

  • 13
  • Void Relay Network(Fortification Network)

  • 14
  • Skyshield Landing Pad

  • 15
  • Fortress of Redemption

  • 16
  • Macro-Cannon Aquila Strongpoint

  • 17
  • Vortex Missile Aquila Strongpoint

  • 18
  • Munitorum Armoured Container Cache

  • 19
  • Plasma Obliterator

  • 20
  • Tidewall Shieldline

  • 21
  • Tidewall Droneport

  • 22
  • Tidewall Gunrig

  • 23
  • Tidewall Gunfort(Fortification Network)

  • 24
  • Tidewall Defense Network(Fortification Network)

  • 24 of those are the items that are currently directly referenced as Fortifications. I included, in my initial counts as I think they will likely make an appearance, the Basilica Administratum, Manufactorum, Shrine of the Aquila, and the Sanctum Imperialis despite currently being labeled as "Battlefield Terrain" rather than Fortifications.
    PROVISIONAL
    25
  • Basilica Administratum

  • 26
  • Manufactorum

  • 27
  • Shrine of the Aquila

  • 28
  • Sanctum Imperialis

  • With the Haemothrope Reactors, we're at 29...so most likely I think the Haemothrope Reactors will be rolled into an existing Fortification Network.

This is a bit of speculation on my part, as I think it rather interesting that this book is coming out now when they're purportedly starting to simplify things/get things in line for an 8th edition and turning those items into Fortifications would make a kind of sense, since the MACC didn't need to be a Fortification but could have been Battlefield Terrain as well.

Slightly bummed by the hero bases, I was expecting (hoping) them to be more like mini versions of the FW Primarch bases, obviously much smaller, but still, something more "heroic" than standing on an oil drum, and less tall, so your "heroic pose" doesn't just get your Commanders' head blown off whilst attempting to hide make a tactical advance behind a wall.

    That's the MACC.

A Munitorum Armoured Container Cache is a Fortification consisting of the Armoured Container(Battlefield Debris), 4 Munitorum Supply Crates (Battlefield Debris[Ammunition Dump]), and 3 Munitorum Promethium Barrels(Battlefield Debris[Fuel Drums]). All the components have to be placed within 12" of each other and it is a single Fortification choice.

There is also the plasma obliterator Aquila strongpoint that GW made however that was an exclusive formation so likely not in that list.

That's actually a good point, but it brings up something I didn't consider:

The Aquila Strongpoint might have its profiles just rolled together, with the different weapons(Macro Cannon, Vortex Missiles, and Plasma Obliterator) being upgrades instead of different Datasheets.

The reactors blood burning to me seems pretty standard 40k machine worship.
I imagine rather than them just draining the entriety of some living saint into it to power the local strip club, they have vials of drops of blood which they put into the vast fuel supply every week/month or so.

I'm also kind of glad that the throne is coming without the skull tower since it never really sat right, always looked a bit like two kits oddly mashed together. (now are they going to take the skull section and use it for something else? )

Knight questor for £15? Nice. He's between 12 and 20 on ebay so i'm happy with that. Hopefully some of the other units from silver tower get a release as individual models.
