This is disingenuous at best.
The C'tan were more than killable, nothing like the current scale. And superheavies were not integrated automatically in the system like now.
The two situations are absolutely not comparable.

Generic characters disappearing? Elite units of your army losing options and customizations? No longer finding that motivation to convert?

Yeah, the Nightbringer was a 350p model and was relatively fairly priced at that.

Nazrak wrote:Personally, as I've touched on in the Custodes thread, I hope we don't end up with 40K becoming "The Adventures of The Primarchs (and some other stuff tacked on)". I feel like the inclusion of the Primarchs and the whole idea of "advancing the plot" places the focus too heavily on one particular part of the wider 40K background and makes the vast, expansive setting that first attracted me to 40K seem a lot smaller. But I've never bought into the whole idea of Special Characters ever since they first started appearing for much the same reason.
I agree, altough I also think that the return of the Primarchs is a huge mistake and will bite the game in the bum in the long run. I don't want it to turn into a DragonBall Z episode, where normal guys won't matter, beacuse "we can deploy Guilliman now guys, ain't that awesome?"

So you know with certainty that any new Primarchs will be unkillable / unfairly costed / will change the scale/focus of the game more than the literal gods.
Can I have next week's lottery numbers too?

I personally think any of the loyalist ones coming back could be very destabilising. The Lion has the potential of having a Legion sized force at his back, and he'd likely feel that he was the rightful heir to rule the Imperium in his fathers stead. And god knows what kind of state Russ will be in after all that time in the warp... would he even still be loyalist?
Jonson would be more likely to stay in the shadows and not even let the Imperium know he was back for quite some time. Space Wolves already don't like the Imperium, Russ would just make their secession easier.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

I laughed out loud -
I do not have such powers, but I can at least project in a concerned way, as some other poster said, seeing how GW managed other old glories coming back. Right?

This is a weird cognitive dissonance type thing for me because I agree with the people who say the primarchs could just take over 40k but only from an in game and rules perspective. I don't really read the books, only the wikipedia type stuff of the background and almost never read the codex fluff either so I have the same fears on the tabletop that some of you guys have with the fluff while also knowing that the primarchs won't be a big deal to me in my personal fluff unless I kill one in a challenge with saint celestine.
