Hi guys

I'm wonder what Consuls you guys use and how you load out your praetors, as I'm looking for inspiration.
Have 3 legions in need of leaders.(Iron Warriors, Thousand Sons and Emperors Children)

Right now I'm sitting on a forge lord for my iron warriors, and Ahriman and the Praetor Tribune for my thousand sons.
Am planing on getting the demon summoning librarian for my emperors children, and making a libarian for my iron warriors and then a Praetor/Delegatus model for both.

The only HQs I have are Kharn (with Gorechild) and a legion champion with master crafted power axe, bolt pistol, volkite charger, artificer armour and refractor field.

Kharn is a close combat beast and has single handedly taken down a leviathan dreadnought and a contemptor dreadnought in one game.

My champion is more of a fluff HQ. Probably not the best option in the game but he's never let me down.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."
– Eighth Captain, Khârn

The only librarians that can summon are the Word bearers librarian, no other legion can take daemonology.

The librarians are very restricted in the Heresy, even in the traitor legions, I don´t see many reasons to put one in the Iron Warriors or in the Emperor children. Furthermore they are Support Consuls, that means that can not fulfill the compulsory slot of HQ.

Pretty much the only loadout I take on a Praetor is Artificer Armor, Iron Halo, Master-Crafted Paragon Blade, Digital Weapons, take or leave a melta bomb. On my Dark Angels one I'll take a combi-grenade launcher with stasis shells.

Legion Delegatus is a good budget source for a RoW. Free Master-Craft weapon is a plus. Usually run mine with Artificer, Refractor Field, melta bomb, power axe. My Dark Angel one will run with a Terranic Greatsword and aforementioned stasis combi.

Forge Lords are very customizable and all-round awesome. Haven't fit one into my lists yet for Alpha Legion or Dark Angels, but with the new Prospero Thunder Hammers I may try to make one happen. I'm trying to find a way to squeeze in a Vigilator (paired with Seekers) to absolutely ruin a deathstar's day. Master of Signal is tried and true to boost backline BS and rain down orbitals on 3+ save blobs.

Those are what I see most often. Usual standards are 2+ armor upgrade (Artificer mostly, terminator for Legions that can specifically benefit from it, like Imperial Fists, Night Lords, or Raven Guard), some variety of invul (refractor fields mostly), and a melta bomb.

They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines, and they shall know no fear.

I really mike the model and he'll fit with my ec best imo and even if i could give him daemonology I probaly wouldn't.
And due tot he fact the psychic phase brings back fond memorys of FB I'd like to have at least the option of running a wizard.

And i like the idea of having a EC champion
Then make a master of signals for all 3.

It isn't really fluffy for an EC librarian. The psyker mutation was considered an imperfection and therefore wasn't allowed

That is what I was trying to highlight, the EC did not use many psykers before Nikaea and probably none after the council. Of course that, anyway, you can play a librarian, one of the very very few in this legion or a marine that developed his psyker talent after the bless of Slaanesh.

But if you want to stay flufy the champion and the primus medicae are the best options, If would play EC I would put both, and maybe a mutated librarian too, but after Istvaan, of course.

You are doing thousand sons, have the special edition librarian terminator and wont be putting him in? Instead opting to give him to your Emperors Children who are disgusted by psykers? Build your army however you wish but this is neither fluffy nor would it be optimal list building so......

When I get my WE assault marines together, I'm looking at also building a Praetor with jump pack, paragon blade, power fist, digital lasers, and iron halo for high points levels when I'm also running Angron (making Kharn less attractive). In most instances this guy will give me 8 attacks on the charge (with whichever weapon is best), rerolling misses, and then rerolling wound rolls of 1.

The consuls I'm usually looking at include a Delegatus to lead them at lower points levels, and Forge Lords as an option at medium points levels. Primus Medicaes are cool, but for WE they're now completely overshadowed by our special character Gahlan Surlak.

Ancient Venerable Black Templar Dreadnought

Where ever the Emperor needs his eyes

My small Raven Guard force will have a Delegatus with a pair of Raven's Talons, and a Volkite Charger. Beyond that I am considering a Jump Pack, Arty Armor, and Refractor Field. Perhaps also a Vigilator.

If I make a small SoH Force im probably just gonna use Tybalt Marr.

Finally the Imperial Fists will be headed by Sigismund. I'll also have a Knight Errant Apothecary to use between the IF and RG, maybe Garro. Various other Consuls as well because I like building ICs.

I've got an artificer praetor with a paragon blade, plasma pistol, iron halo, digital lasers and melts bomb. I was going to do power fist and blade but they don't make MKIII fists and swords on opposite hands

Consoles: To many to list out, nearly 1 of everything though Seige breakers and MoS's come up a lot

Praetors: I like this one:

Artificer armour
Iron Halo
Digital lasers
Mastercraft a weapon
Paragon blade
Power fist
Rad grenades

Since p. fists and paragon blades are both specialist weapons, I get the extra +1 attack from 2 CCWs

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

I can get the new plastics and a mini to out them on for almost 1/3rd of the price. Might go for that as a replacement.

My proposed is very similar - Praetor with Paragon Blade/Legatine Axe, Artificer Armour, Iron Halo, Digital Lasers, and maybe a meltabomb or archeotech pistol if I feel like it.
Master of Signal, artificer and refractor
Moritat, artificer, refractor, jump pack, volkite serpenta and plasma pistol (accompanying Destroyers), or a Siege Breaker in Cataphractii with a chainfist and combi-melta (accompanying Fulmentarii Terminators)

Ultramarines Legion, of course.

They/them
