Well, that's it for now. So far this is probably the points level I want to start playing at with what I have prepared. I think anything higher than 2.5k and I end up throwing in units just to make points until I decide what I need to get next. I think the main problem I foresee with this army will be heavy armor. I don't have a whole lot that can crack open say...another spartan similar to mine or even a Typhon without getting close. Though I have yet to play a single game of 30k, I think the group I have gathered is in the same boat as me. We wont know what works until we play it.

Whole lot of walking going on here, I take it the terminators are riding in the Spartan.

Where ever the Emperor needs his eyes

The Praetor wont get a Combi-Bolter if you are taking a Storm Shield as the Shield replaces the Bolter given by the Terminator armor and unlike the Artificer Armor Praetor who has the option to take a Combi-Weapon, Volkite Charger, ect. The Terminator option removes that option. Unless there is some shenanigans about purchasing options.

Get augury scanners on your heavy support squad and how about adding Polux instead of that praetor?

That would free up some points for you to get artificer armour on your sergeants. Sgt's can tank some nasty stuff if they get that on them

List is somewhat confusing to be honest.
Why a spartan? You can take storm shields, they are better than a cramped easily killable box which costs an arm, a leg and both kidneys.
Are you going to use a ROW(Rite of war)? With a infantry heavy force consider the one that lets you give deepstrike to all infantry.
Your contempters are perhaps a little too expensive. Maybe change the twin Kheres one into a mortis and have it as a cheap AA unit as well.
You are paying for three apothecaries and cant take them in terminator squads and wont need it in your heavy support squad.
You would be better off not giving your praetor termie armour and giving him a storm shield and paragon blade.
Always put artificer armour on sergeants, characters and special such as apothecaries.
Medusa is cool.

I wasn't exactly sure on my ROW, but pretty much following the normal force org for a crusade force. As far as my spartan and lack of storm shields...I own the spartan so I feel like I should use it in the mean while and I don't have any storm shields to give my terminators otherwise they would. But I might take the teleportation transponder for that squad and dump a 20 man tac squad in the spartan with extra CCW alongside a chaplain. Of course, drop the 3rd apothecary because he cant go with the terminators. The mortis is a good idea, I might have to do that. Also, I can't give a non terminator armor equipped character a vigil pattern storm shield. So, no artificer armor praetor with SS and paragon blade.

I just picked up the new box set, might take a look at adding some support squads with Volkite (Charger or Caliver?) Also, Templar Brethren.

I am also running 2 20 man bolter squads. You might want them a little better though. Art armor for the Serg will keep the squad alive a little longer so long as he leads. I gave mine a Power fist just for fluffy reasons. You will also want Apothecary's. I'm far from a expert but how I see it is if your doing 10 mans stick in rhino, if your doing 15+ you want that 5+ feel no pain to the squad so keep them around since they are exposed.

If you got Prospero and don't plan to use the Custodies or if you don't use the custodies with shields, their shields make amazing storm shields.

Pointswise also(and depends how much room you got) for big games I will also be adding extra CCW to tac squads as they march up.

I don't understand why you consistently refer to Spartans as "easily killable"...their just not...

They really are though (at least, IMO) They eat up a metric TON of points, you can usually play around them if you're REALLY terrified of it for some reason, and to top that off: ANY kind of high strength CC, any S: 9 or 10 tends to work, haywire (of which there is plenty), Any kind of dreadnought once you close the gap. and like I mentioned earlier: with how expensive they are, you generally have TONS of points to play with to work on killing it. It's not that threatening, people just see AV: 15 and apparently freak out :(

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.
