What if they could take Astardes Grenade Launchers? Or alternatively, mounted on the back with the automated fire special rule?

Honestly using Grave Wardens (one of the only Terminator units I know of that's widely regarded as good) as precedent just swapping the storm bolter wholesale for an Astartes grenade launcher at no cost wouldn't be that far-fetched.

How about giving them WS/BS 5? Like a venerable dreadought to really reflect the age and skill of those warriors honoured enough to receive terminator armour?
That would boost the lacking offence

Grenade harness for Assault Termies sounds good as well. Perhaps giving them other options like LC/SS as well?

It'd boost it fractionally and irrelevantly?

WS/BS 5 would be cool, too. And appropriate.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I would be happy to just reduce the points cost and have two heavy weapons per five, and an option of one assaulkt marine loadout per five, which could be the sgt. Assault marines likewise should get options like thunder hammer and heavy flamer, or cyclones as secondary weapons. perhaps at one maybe two per five.

The biggest problem other than cost is that Deathwing is considered unique, wheras it should be a standard way of looking at terminators.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

But be fluffy and show the Termies for the badarses they're meant to be.

I never said it should be the only change, just suggested it as a change.

I think a re-roll on the 5++ could possibly make me reconsider the TDA as a legitimate unit.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.
