I'll do a step by step next time I sculpt some then (I used up all my GS on that spawn... there's tin foil in there so he's not just a huge blob of the stuff at least ). But, really all you need is a sculpting tool with a sharp tip on it and to keep it wet with water so the greenstuff doesn't stick to it. Then you just get a small ball of it, press it down onto where you want the flame, use the tool to press the edges so they blend into the surface a bit better. Then you just want to slowly flick it up towards the center a bit with the tool, working around in a circle to try to keep it even (the flame will lean away from whichever side you flick the most) until you get a shape you're happy with. Fun part about how quick it is to do is you have enough time for a few redos if it doesn't look quite right, just squash or fold it a bit to fix it then flick away at it again. The one on his hand I think I did twice.

I think it's also helpful to give the model a look over before you do anything to it and get a general feel for the flow so you can continue it.

Here's the blue horrors so far.

The last 4 horrors arrived today. They're a little bigger (I think it's the pose and the jazz hands mostly), a little more top heavy, but have a much much cooler musician.

They'd make good heralds, but I really don't need heralds at the moment and feel like most of them will end up on discs anyway. Either way I need to get around to getting some varnish for these guys as well now.

I like the big hand dudes, especially the drum head!

The drum head guy is just plain awesome, I didn't even know it existed until I found these others.

Those enormous hands xD. I bet with the paintjob they won't stock out TOO much.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

The musician is hilarious!

Sorry, I need to make a political joke:
Spoiler:

You need to paint one of those huge-handed horrors orange and give him a cheep toupee.

Dice are finally finished off with this Tzeentch pendant showing up in the mail, adds a little more style to the dice bag.

Horrors are primed now, taking my time with getting around to painting them as I'm waiting for some varnish to protect them as well.

Also had an idea for some furies of Tzeentch later on that I'll put here to keep track of, but I'm thinking take the body of a pink horror, add nid gargoyle wings and then there's this smooth oval spot for the horror's head to attach to, rather than the head I was thinking of using GS to make some eyelids and turn it into a giant eye instead. Should end up something like the floating eye things from final fantasy as well.
Another good part of it is if I were to just buy all the kits from GW, rather than buy the wing bits somewhere else, it works out like $3 more than just getting 10 furies for the benefit of making them show their allegiance better and being plastic rather than outdated metal models. I am however going to be cutting back with spending for a little bit after these last 4 guys along with varnish and everything ended up jumping just over $100. But, I really want to get stuck into these guys still and am enjoying how easy and often I'm coming up with ideas for them. So this may be slow for a bit but I'm going to be sticking with it for the long run.

Edit: Oh I do also have some terrain ideas, been waiting on an acrylic rod for a few weeks before I can finally get stuck into it however.
